What's up, friends? Welcome in to Fantasy Focus Football alongside Mike Clay and Field Yates. My name is Daniel Dopp. We are very excited to be here on a Friday.

Field Yates (0:50)

Forgot to.

Daniel Dopp (0:50)

It's week five. We're getting it. We're getting it there.

Fields taking care of it. While Fields taking care of it, I'll take care of the logistics here. We're very excited. Diving into Thursday Night Football. That was a heck of a game. We also got the rest of our week five preview part two, which will be a ton of fun. And a quick shout out to our friends over at Trophy Smack. Use the promo code TrophyWeekFive, five, excuse me, over at trophysmack.com for 10% off your order over there.

Field Yates (1:15)

I think I've done it.

Daniel Dopp (1:15)

Guys, really quickly. You doing okay? Yeah. I think I got it. Yeah.

Mike Clay (1:19)

We're still, it's week five. We're still a little rough around the edges.

Daniel Dopp (1:22)

One of the things that we have figured out is that Fields, not quite 40 yet, is starting to fall trap to some of the technological advances of our society.

Field Yates (1:31)

Mike, excuse me. Actually, he didn't accuse me of anything. He declared me a technological savant before the show.

Mike Clay (1:39)

You were, because you had reattached the piece of metal to your bar that you broke yesterday. Well done.

Field Yates (1:44)

I broke it yesterday, but Daniel actually fixed it today.

Daniel Dopp (1:47)

No.

Field Yates (1:47)

Anything handy on this show is one, I would say 95% likely to be settled by Daniel.

Mike Clay (1:53)

You used to work on this stuff though.

Daniel Dopp (1:55)

That's true. That's why it's a little bit different. All right. Let's dive into a little bit. It was really quickly before we get into Thursday Night Football, guys. Saquon Barkley has not practiced yet this week.

How are we feeling about this? When we talked a little bit about the Eagles game yesterday. And one of the things that we had said was not feeling good about any of the running backs here. If there's no Saquon, is there anyone that you would want to feel comfortable rolling with?

Field Yates (2:14)

Mike zeroed out Saquon early in the week from the projections. I think early in the week, it felt like Will Shipley was definitely the guy that you want to roster and potentially play. And then it's still the case.

However, a little bit of momentum behind Damian Pearce, which I don't think means that Damian Pearce is usable in Fantasy this week. And I don't think that Will Shipley is unusable in Fantasy this week, especially given the state of the running back spot. We have two teams and two notable running backs on a buy this week. I would just say that Will Shipley feels very much like a middle of, I would say medium upside player at best this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Daniel Dopp (2:53)

I'm looking for some receiving game work in this one. Maybe a goal line touch.

Field Yates (2:56)

I'd love five catches for 40 yards to go along with 15 carries.

Mike Clay (2:59)

I got him in a couple of leagues on waivers just throwing claims out for a bunch of guys. He's the one I got. He's on my bench in all those leagues. Ideally, I'm not using him, but there's going to be some situations where you're shorthanded, whether it's wide receiver, there's still injuries to come. We're waiting for some news on guys like Terry McLaren and DJ Moore and who knows, there's on Cardinal Tate, all these sort of guys. So maybe when Sunday morning comes along, you might throw them in your flex. Keep in mind, they play at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, so Eastern. So make sure you check your line up Saturday night this week and make sure he's in there if you need him.

Field Yates (3:30)

On NFL Network, which is now part of us.

Daniel Dopp (3:32)

That's right.
