Ceaser, Alex Golesh said there were highs and lows to Auburn's first fall scrimmage. Fortunately, it sounds like Byrum Brown was a high.

**Ceasar Walker** (2:35)
Just like I want to hear.

**Mike G** (2:37)
Let's go.
Welcome on in to The Auburn Express, powered by The War Rapport. I'm your host, Mike G. Turn us on, turn us up. We'll turn it out here with my good friend, Ceaser Walker, co-show host here at Auburn Express TV, talking a little Auburn football to get your Monday started. On today's show, we're going to recap some more comments from that press conference after Auburn's first fall scrimmage. Ceaser, there were comments about defensive line, running backs and where we'll start the show, the thing everybody wants to hear about, and that is how is Byrum Brown doing? Before we get into it, on our Sunday show, we went over Alex Golesh's kind of opening statement. He said that it was a sloppy day, and he said that Auburn needed to humble themselves quickly, both coaches and players. But what were your main takeaways from that first fall scrimmage press conference? It sounded like normal growing pains for the Auburn Tigers.

**Ceasar Walker** (3:39)
Yeah, and Mike, I will say this, and I kind of alluded to it on the weekend's Hell Gate, is it's good to hear good and bad coming from both sides of the ball, as opposed to in previous fall camps, it's just been a one-sided affair where the defense has just been getting the best of the offense. It seems like the offense has some explosive plays. The defense made some plays of their own, which is what you want to hear with this team getting close to the beginning of the season, that the offense is actually getting some wins here in the scrimmage. They're getting their fair shots. And so I think with some of the things that needs to be cleaned up, this is true of most programs in the country. You're at fall camp, really. Are you in mid-season form at that point? There's going to be things with this coaching staff to have to clean up with the players, but I'm happy to hear that the offense and defense were winning throughout the scrimmage.

**Mike G** (4:37)
Yeah, normally I would be a little concerned to hear that the defense was getting diced up, but because we got DJ Durkin coming back, I have no doubt that he's going to have something for other offenses here that don't have Byrum Brown. Speaking of Byrum Brown, let's listen to what Golesh has to say. He was asked a question about Byrum's scrimmage performance. Here's what he had to say.
