One thing I've learned from talking with friends who run businesses is that hiring isn't just about filling an opening. The wrong hire can slow everybody down, while the right hire can completely change the trajectory of a business. That's why when it's time to bring someone new onto the team, this is a job for sponsored jobs. Indeed, sponsored jobs helps get your job posting in front of quality candidates with the skills, certifications and experience you're actually looking for. Instead of hoping the right person stumbles across your listing, sponsored jobs gives it a boost so the right people are more likely to see it, and you only pay for results. People are finding quality hires on Indeed right now. In the minute I've been talking to you, companies like yours made 27 hires on Indeed, according to Indeed data worldwide. Spend less time searching and more time actually interviewing candidates who check all your boxes, less stress, less time, more results. When you're the right person to cut through the chaos, this is a job for Indeed sponsored jobs. Listeners of this show will get a $75 sponsored job credit to help get your job the premium status it deserves at indeed.com/podcast.
Just go to indeed.com/podcast right now, and support our show by saying you heard about Indeed on this podcast. It's indeed.com/podcast.
Terms and conditions apply. Need the right hire fast? Then this is a job for Indeed sponsored jobs. If you've got a business idea that you've been sitting on, this is the time of year to do something with it. We've used Shopify for the AoM store for years, and what I love about it is how easy it is to get a business where you're selling stuff up and running quickly. You don't need to know how to build a website. Shopify's pre-built Themes and AI Site Builder lets you launch a professional-looking store without ever touching a line of code. Once the store is live, you can sell everywhere people shop, online, in-person, across social media, and even in AI chats. When customers show up, the checkout works. Shopify checkout with shop pay converts up to 36 percent higher than the competition, meaning more customers actually buy. Shopify powers millions of businesses worldwide, from household names to small businesses just getting started. The reason to move now is Black Friday. Launch before it, and you're open during the time of year when more people are already shopping and ready to buy instead of scrambling to build a store while everyone else is selling. If you're ready to launch your business before Black Friday, go to shopify.com/manliness to start your free trial. That's shopify.com/manliness. Go to shopify.com/manlinesstoday to hear your first…

If you've been following the Art of Manliness for a while, you know that I typically interview the authors of books on this podcast. But if you've been following the Art of Manliness for a while, you'll know why I had to make an exception for today's guest. Brandon Flowers is my very favorite musical artist. He's the front man for the multi-platinum record-earning band The Killers, and has also put out three solo albums. I recently had the chance to talk to Brandon backstage before one of his shows in Las Vegas. My wife Kate, as well as a couple of our friends, were also on hand, and you'll hear me elude to them a couple of times during the interview. Brandon and I had a great conversation. We discussed his third and latest solo album, Thrasher, and guys, it is a good one, and why he went country western on it, what his dad taught him about what makes a good man, what he's currently reading, hint and involves the author of my all-time favorite novel, his top five favorite country songs, the influence of faith in his life and music, what's on his mind in midlife and how he balances work and family.

For people who have been listening to the podcast or reading the website aoM for the past 18 years, they know I'm a huge Killers fan and a huge fan of your work. This is a treat for me. You got a new solo album out.
