**Andy** (0:00)
Hey, what's going on, everybody?
**Brian** (0:01)
It's The Daily AI Show. It's the last day of June 2026, and it is Tuesday. So we're rocking and rolling over here. We were just chatting, which is why Andy reminded us that we needed to go live, that we're already one minute late. That happens sometimes. With me today is Beth, Andy, and we'll blame her. She's not here as much. And I'm Brian. So Anne was probably just keeping us busy or whatever. So sorry, Anne, that happens when you're only here one day a week.
We got to throw it on somebody.
Thanks for everybody in the comments already jumping in. And yeah, if you didn't get a chance to check yesterday's show, I was just looking at this and this is like this for all YouTube and Spotify or whatever, but it really does blow my mind just how many new people are listening to the show compared to subscriptions. It's like a 70-30 split, which means, well, the math is the math, right? It says that you probably have never heard us before, or at least you're not a subscriber. So just know that we do do this show five days a week, Monday through Friday. We've been doing it now for almost three years. We're over 750 episodes. August, we talked about this, I think we said August 7th, Beth, yesterday is actually our one year. August 8th is Beth's birthday, but August 7th is our one year, or excuse me, it'll be our three year anniversary of the show. So if you've never seen our lovely faces before, here's what we do. We just have a morning talk show, kind of over coffee if you're where, Andy and Anne, I think more so with you guys. Yeah, it's much earlier for them. That's south on the east coast, so it's a little bit later in the day. Beth is on the water. I'm not showing my drink today.
I've been off all this week, so I like to get to the day drinking early, and I'm on my third bourbon.
**Anne** (1:58)
You're hilarious.
**Brian** (2:00)
Hey, I'm off.
No.
Anyway, we're glad you're here, whether this is the first time you've ever heard our voices or not. But like I said, it's more like a morning talk show. What we do is we get into the news, which we're about to do here in a second. Sometimes we rapid fire through news. Sometimes one of them catches fire a little bit, and we just hang on that particular news story. Yesterday, I think, was more like that.
I always do the summaries after the show, and I think there was like maybe five, four total news stories over about an hour and six minutes worth of conversation. But it was a great conversation. So the idea here is you have to keep coming back. You have to keep hanging out with us as part of the deal, because it's the long term, right? We're not we're talking about AI over the last three years. And if you just I promise you, if you stick around, if you're part of the conversation, if you join us live in the YouTube chat, or if you can't and you join us in our community on Slack, you can go to the daily show community.com to do that. Then you're going to be as up to date as anybody as far as AI goes. And that's sort of the part of the show. It's the Daily AI Show. That's what we do. OK, so welcome to all the new folks and welcome back to all our subscribers because that's growing as well. All right, Anne, since you are hanging out with us, you're so kind to come join us usually on Tuesdays. What kind of new stories have been peeking your interest over the last, let's say, day, 24 hours?
**Anne** (3:24)
24 hours. OK, so just so everybody is aware, I decide ahead of time what I want to talk about, and then I look for a study that came out in the last two or three days. Fair. Just to reinforce, whatever it is that I've already decided is true.
It's pick and choose the ones that support my argument. I'm just saying that I'm just saying, no, I'm just kidding. That's not really what I do because there's incessant amounts of news coming out. But I do focus a lot of my own thinking regarding AI around the human and AI interaction, and recently spending more time around metacognition and the way we are behaving and showing up in large part because of the time that we're spending with AI, particularly with the advent of vibe coding.
