This is the DNVR Broncos Podcast from the Xfinity Studio.
**Dre Wimberly** (1:06)
Let's go.
**Henry Lockwood** (1:07)
Still no RK. Dre is back.
**Dre Wimberly** (1:10)
Were you hoping he'd be here today?
**SPEAKER_1** (1:11)
No, no, no, no, no, no.
**Henry Lockwood** (1:13)
We need the energy.
It's been about a half hour of like going through, getting all the notes ready, getting everything done. And Dre, you've had a lot to say. Yeah, yeah, I think, I think, I think this is going to be a good show.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:26)
I do too.
**Henry Lockwood** (1:27)
I do too.
**Dre Wimberly** (1:28)
This dude works so hard. I'm just like out here trying to distract him the whole time. Bug him, do things.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:35)
You know, it's Friday.
**Henry Lockwood** (1:36)
I'm basically checked out.
**Dre Wimberly** (1:37)
I'm just, I'm just ready to go.
And by ready to go, I mean home. But Henry, he's down there. Football, football, football, Broncos, Broncos, Broncos, injuries, injuries, injuries. Yep. And as I'm saying this, he can't wait. More work. Let's go to Zac on the Xfinity hotline. Imagine that. Zac Stevens from the Valley.
**Henry Lockwood** (1:56)
There he is. Oh, look at it.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:58)
Thanks for being here, Zac. It's Friday Polo.
**Zac Stevens** (2:00)
I love that.
**Dre Wimberly** (2:02)
That looks great. Let's go.
**Zac Stevens** (2:03)
Got my DNVR Polo on. Rep in the company. And guys, I, I think the way the show opened today on the cold open with Henry and Drey is just a perfect summary of how today went down. Henry's saying, you know, tons of bad news to get to while Drey's trying to pump everyone up with the excitement. And that was kind of today's practice in a nutshell. There's good, bad and ugly. And so where do you guys want to start? Do we want to start ugly, bad, good, good, bad, ugly? How do you want to do this thing?
**Henry Lockwood** (2:37)
Probably let's just get the ugly out of the way that we can move on.
**Zac Stevens** (2:40)
Oh, man, the ugly is really bad. And really, I mean, ugly is a perfect word for it. Matt Henningsen left the practice today on a cart. And tomorrow is the one year anniversary of him tearing his achilles and the joint practice against the San Francisco 49ers last year. So I didn't actually see the injury, Henry, maybe you did.
But it really, really just makes you think your head goes to that when he can't walk and he's being taken off by a cart. This is the first player in Broncos training camp this year that has had to lead practice on a cart. So that's always never good and really bad. So you absolutely hate to see that. It feels so bad for Matt Henningsen.
And so that's certainly the ugly. Then we'll go to the bad because there were other injuries, a number of other injuries actually with the Broncos today.
Marvin Mims, let's just start with a really bad one. He's about to have the pass of the day from Bo Nix. He's burning down the left sideline. And he's got to step on the defender. The pass is about to drop in his arms about 50 yards downfield. And he immediately comes up and immediately grabs groin, lower leg or leg, upper leg area. And just immediately walks to the sideline, sits down, sits there for like five minutes. The trainers come and look at him. And then he walks off with the trainer. And as he's walking off with the trainer, Nate Adkins joins him and walks off together with the trainer. So Nate Adkins and Marvin Mims go down at the same time. And man, just how instant Marvin grabbed the lower region just really, really concerns me about what this is and really the timetable for how long it's going to be. And Marvin is one of the guys that's having the best camps with anyone so far right now. So for the Broncos to lose him right now is just such a bummer. So I mean, bad, ugly, just throw all three of those injuries in there.
