Bo Nix was back on the practice field today, and so were the Broncos to kick off mandatory minicamp, and so much went down today. I'm gonna tell you all about Bo and what you need to know, his timeline to return, and we're going to dive into it after you hit us with the thumbs up and subscribe to our channel. We really appreciate that, helps us a lot. And this is the first of three mandatory minicamp practices, so you're gonna wanna make sure to stay tuned for the rest of the week for more updates, and let's dive in to what you need to know about Bo Nix being on the practice field. This is his first practice with the Broncos of the off season. He missed the first two weeks dealing with that ankle surgery that he had, and we'll talk about that surgery because Bo opened up about it in just a second. But let me tell you what I saw on the field from number 10, Bo was running well, no limp, the ankle looked completely fine, no brace, no boot, obviously. He looked very good. He participated in drills, he was throwing the ball to Jalen Waddle. He threw a couple of touchdowns to Waddle in individual drills, but he did not participate in the team period. This is not a surprise. This is what Sean Payton essentially told us was going to happen when he came back for this week. So nothing to worry about there, only good signs. Passer Tan said Bo looked sharp in practice today, so that was good to hear from Pat because I thought he looked good as well. After practice, we got to talk to the Broncos franchise quarterback, and he took us through the off season that was, because the last time we talked to Bo was the end of January after he got that first surgery. Since then, it's been completely quiet from him. We didn't know about a second surgery that popped up, and that's what he told us all about. So he originally got that surgery after the Broncos beat the Bills to advance to the AFC Championship game. Then he was dealing with some bone spurs throughout the off season, and he said that he could have played with them this season and then had a cleanup procedure next off season to take care of it. But he was ahead of schedule in his recovery. So the doctor said, look, you'll be fine for training camp if you get a cleanup procedure right now. So he said, because I was ahead of schedule, let's do it. That's why he had that cleanup procedure roughly six weeks ago. And that's why he missed the first couple of weeks of OTAs. But then he's back right now. He said he feels great now. And the doctors told him his ankle looks as good as new. And then he joked that he saw some kids on the playground. And they said, because of all the crazy photos that were circulating, Bo, is your ankle crooked? And he said, does it look crooked to you? So he's not concerned about his ankle. It feels great. And he's very, very confident about him being back on the field for training camp and for what this means for his future season this coming year. He was asked if he's concerned about his mobility going forward into this year because of the many ankle surgeries he's had. And he said, the only thing I'm concerned about is this is the best my ankle has felt in a very long time. So I might be too mobile, he joked about. He is not concerned. Sean Payton said there's going to be no issues with his mobility. They expect him to run as much as he runs, typically in the past two years, which has been a big weapon for him. So Sean Payton and Bo are not concerned about his mobility at all. He also said in terms of his confidence, winning a playoff game gives him the belief that he and the team can do anything. Of course, the Broncos won a playoff game last year by beating the Bills and advancing to the AFC Championship game. As terms of win, Bo will be back.
He was asked, will he be back for training camp? And he said, yes. In fact, I could be full go right now if they wanted me to. And from what I saw in the practice field, it looks like Bo Nix could have been full go today if they wanted him to, but no need to. There's only three practices until a five week break. Sean Payton said that Bo was going to be fully healthy by the end of this month. Bo Nix said he could be a full go right now. So there should be no concerns. Bo Nix should be 100% full go for that first practice training camp at the end of July. Another thing about him bringing confidence to this, he pointed out that he's played some of the best football of his life following an ankle injury. And that's what he's doing now. He said he won a high school championship coming off an ankle injury.
