Welcome back to the Daily Crypto Roundup. Bitget says withdrawals are coming back, but the stolen crypto is already moving. About $83 million in XRP left wallets linked to this week's breach today, just as the exchange published a staged reopening timetable and offered rewards for freezing recoverable funds. Bitcoin, meanwhile, is holding near $84,000 after a seventh straight day of exchange traded fund inflows. While Kraken's parent company reveals a much larger plan for the infrastructure behind global trading. At the time of recording, Bitcoin is around $84,020 and almost unchanged over 24 hours after trading between approximately $83,390 and $84,290.
Ethereum is near $2,689 and down about 0.2%.
XRP is close to $1.55 and lower by roughly 2.5%, the weakest move among these leading assets. BNB is around $774.
Solana is near $120.90, and Hyperliquid is close to $92.30.
Cardano is around $0.26, while Chainlink is near $14.34 and up approximately 2.6%.
The wallet movement alone does not prove what caused XRP's decline. Tell us whether a published withdrawal timetable would make you more confident in an exchange after a breach, or whether you would still move your assets immediately. This is not financial advice. Crypto trading involves risk of loss. The lead story is the next phase of Bitget's recovery. Wallets tied to the attacker moved approximately 54 million XRP today, worth about 83 million dollars at the time of the transfer. Roughly 49 million XRP, worth around 75 million dollars at current prices, remained across the original holding wallets after those movements. Native XRP cannot be frozen by Ripple at the protocol level. Centralized exchanges can still block deposits associated with identified addresses, while stablecoin issuers can freeze their own tokens. Circle and Tether have already frozen approximately 318 thousand dollars connected to the incident. The larger XRP balance depends on exchanges and investigators recognizing its path quickly enough. Bitget Chief Executive Gracie Chen announced a separate recovery bounty today, offering eligible participants 5% of assets they voluntarily help freeze and recover.
Her message was direct.
Every address frozen matters. The reward is not automatic, and identifying a wallet is not the same as recovering its contents. The exchange also published exact withdrawal times. Bitcoin withdrawals are scheduled to restart on September 28th at 8 a.m. Coordinated Universal Time. Ethereum routes follow on September 29th. Tether withdrawals across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana and Tron are due on September 30th. Other tokens, fiat withdrawals and peer-to-peer services are scheduled for October 2nd. Chen plans a public question and answer session 30 minutes before the first reopening. The latest accounting now puts affected assets at approximately $387.5 million.
Above the original $351.6 million estimate because Zcash and Tron balances were added. Bitget says that is a revised inventory of the same incident, not evidence of a second theft. The company also says the vulnerability has been remediated. User balances remain fully covered and outside security specialists are reviewing the event. What changed today is the practical recovery sequence and the attackers' first major XRP redistribution. What did not change is the need for independent proof. A timetable does not show that every withdrawal will process normally, and a company-funded protection promise is not the same as a completed repayment. Customers benefit if services return without losses. Investigators benefit if the bounty converts intelligence into freezes. The recovery case fails if the first Bitcoin withdrawal window slips. Cues grow without explanation or the moved XRP reaches off-ramps. Watch the September 28th question session. Bitcoin withdraws 30 minutes later. Wallet labels, freeze notices and the October 2nd reopening. The second story is new evidence that institutional Bitcoin demand survived yesterday's options expiry and market weakness. Finalized Friday data show. United States Bitcoin Exchange traded funds received $134.5 million.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust added $97 million, and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin fund received $49.3 million, partly offset by an $11.8 million outflow from Bitwise's fund. That was the seventh consecutive positive session. Across those seven trading days, net inflows reached approximately $2.98 billion.
The Monday through Friday total alone was about $2.39 billion. The contrast matters. Friday brought one of the year's biggest crypto derivatives expiries. Treasury yields remained elevated, and Bitcoin still struggled to hold $85,000.
Yet fund investors added capital rather than withdrawing it. That is verified demand, but it is not proof that price must rise immediately. Existing holders can sell into fund purchases, and higher bond yields can still compress risk appetite. Fund issuers and long-term holders benefit if the streak continues. Traders who expected the expiry to produce immediate capitulation lose from the resilient demand. The interpretation weakens if Monday ends the streak with a large outflow, or Bitcoin loses Friday's low near $83,390.
