Kraken Ledger NordVPN Spotify United States spot Bitcoin funds absorbed $998.95 million on Monday—their ninth-largest inflow ever—giving Bitcoin’s hold near $86,000 a much firmer demand explanation than forced short covering alone. Can that institutional bid survive the next flow report?

Welcome back to the Daily Crypto Roundup. Bitcoin is holding near $86,000. And today, we finally have the missing evidence behind the breakout. Almost $1 billion entered United States' spot Bitcoin funds on Monday, the ninth largest day since they launched. That voluntary demand matters more than yesterday's short squeeze. But it arrives alongside a $100 million Binance investment in circle. A European push against stablecoin yield and a recovery effort for Coldcard victims. At the time of recording, Bitcoin is around $86,200, up approximately 0.3% over 24 hours after trading between about $85,100 and $87,300.
Ethereum is near $2,742 and almost unchanged. XRP is close to $1.56 after gaining roughly 4%.
The strongest move among these leading assets. BNB is around $786.50 and down approximately 1.7%.
While Solana is near $116.85 and lower by about 1.2%.
Hyperliquid is close to $94.45.
Cardano is around $0.25 and Chainlink is near $12.93.
The market is mixed, but Bitcoin is preserving most of Monday's 6% advance. Tell us whether nearly $1 billion of fund demand makes you trust this breakout, or whether you still need Bitcoin to clear $87,300.

Crypto trading involves risk of loss. The lead story is a material update to yesterday's rally explanation. Monday's completed exchange traded fund data show $998.95 million entering United States spot Bitcoin funds. That was their largest daily inflow since October 6, 2025, when Bitcoin reached its record high and the ninth largest session since these products began trading in January 2024
The money was brought enough to matter. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust attracted $381.37 million.
ARK21Shares Bitcoin ETF received $289.12 million, and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund added $238.84 million.
This was the first three-day inflow streak in two weeks. September's total has reached approximately $1.31 billion.
Yet the year-to-date figure remains negative by about $450 million.
One exceptional Monday did not erase every 2026 withdrawal.
Why is Bitcoin still holding rather than surrendering the move? Fund demand now supplies the voluntary buying that yesterday's liquidation data could not prove. Falling oil also remains supportive. West Texas Intermediate Crude moved below $90 today as reports suggested Iran could reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 7 days. The United States 10-year Treasury yield was near 4.93%, below last week's 5% threshold, while stocks posted modest gains. The factors do different jobs. Oil and yields reduce macro pressure. Funds create direct demand. Forced short buying accelerated the move, but the finalized inflows show the rally did not depend only on liquidations. What did not change is monetary policy. The Federal Reserve has raised rates, and futures leverage can still amplify a reversal.
Monday's subscriptions cannot explain every intraday tick today. Holders and fund issuers benefit if institutional allocation continues. Short sellers and investors waiting for a deeper entry lose from the immediate move. Late leveraged buyers become the vulnerable group if demand fades. The bullish interpretation strengthens if Bitcoin holds $85,000, clears today's approximately $87,300 high, and receives another positive fund flow report. It weakens below the estimated $82,225 average cost basis of United States spot Bitcoin funds. The decisive falsifier would be heavy fund outflows while Bitcoin loses that level. The second story connects an exchange, a public company, and the economics of a stable coin. Circle Internet Group disclosed today that Binance bought $100 million of Circle shares through a private placement that closed September 17th. Binance received 1,237,011 Class A shares at $80.84 each, a discount to Circle's prior market price. Circle will also pay Binance a monthly incentive based on USDC held through its modular smart contract wallet infrastructure, while Binance promotes USDC. The agreement lasts 5 years but can end early after specified events. Binance generally cannot sell, transfer or hedge the shares for up to 2 years, but it keeps voting rights. Binance Co-Chief Executive Richard Tang called the investment long-duration conviction. The filing shows something more concrete than that phrase. Binance earns from both Circle Equity and USDC balances routed through the agreed infrastructure. What changed is disclosure of the share count, price, lockup and incentive. USDC's backing and redemption terms did not change, and 1.24 million shares do not let Binance direct Circle. Circle benefits from distribution on the world's largest crypto exchange. Binance gains equity exposure and recurring incentive payments. USDC holders could gain deeper liquidity, but should understand that platform promotion is paid, not neutral research. The partnership disappoints if USDC balances do not grow enough to justify Circle's fees, or if regulators object to the incentives.
