Welcome back to the Daily Crypto Roundup. Today's market is trying to steady itself after a rough week, and the big question now is simple. Is this the start of a proper recovery, or just another bounce before the next leg lower?
Bitcoin has climbed back into the $63,000 area after a wave of fear started to ease across global markets. The move came after tensions in the Middle East cooled slightly, oil prices pulled back, and traders started moving back into risk assets. That does not mean the market is suddenly safe, but it does tell us something important. When fear drops, Bitcoin still reacts quickly. At the time of recording, Bitcoin is sitting around the mid $63,000 area. Ethereum is around $1,700.
XRP is around $1.14.
BNB is around $584.
Solana is around $71.
Hyperliquid is around $69.
Cardano is around $0.16.
Chainlink is just under $8.
So the market is green in parts, but it is not exactly screaming bull market yet. This is still a cautious recovery. The key level analysts are watching on Bitcoin is around $64,700 to $64,800.
If Bitcoin can push through that area with strength, then the chart starts to look a lot more interesting. Some technical analysts are looking at a possible move toward the $79,000 to $80,000 region if that breakout confirms. But this is the important bit. Bitcoin has to actually break that level. It cannot just tap it, reject, and roll back over. There is also a lot of leverage sitting above current prices. That means, if Bitcoin pushes higher, short sellers could be forced to close positions, and that can add fuel to the move. But the other side of the story is ETF flows.
Bitcoin spot ETFs have still seen outflows this week, and that is why I would not call this a clean, all-clear moment yet. The bounce is real, but the conviction still has to prove itself. And before we go any further, quick reminder, this show is sponsored by Kraken. Kraken is one of the best-known crypto platforms in the world, and if you are looking to buy, sell, or build your crypto position, check out the Kraken link in the description. As always, this is not financial advice. Crypto is risky. Only invest what you can afford to lose. Now, away from price, one of the biggest stories today is the XRP ledger upgrade. The latest XRP-LD software update has triggered a series of bug reports from the XRP ledger community. The issues include node synchronization failures, configuration parsing problems, transaction relay problems, validator distribution concerns, consensus routing problems, and ledger tracking issues.
Now, that sounds scary, so let's be fair about it. There has not been a network-wide outage. The ledger has not collapsed. But only around 26% of nodes had upgraded, and that matters because it shows adoption of the new software is still early. This is exactly the kind of story where people on social media will either massively overreact or completely ignore it. The truth is in the middle. For XRP holders, this is not automatically a disaster. In fact, you could argue that open bug reporting is part of how serious networks harden themselves. But it does highlight something important. If XRP is going to be talked about as serious settlement infrastructure, then the network has to be boringly reliable. Not exciting, not dramatic, reliable.
Banks, funds, payment companies, and institutional users do not want chaos. They want uptime, stability, clean upgrades, and fast responses when bugs appear. That is why the next few days matter. Not because this bug list means XRP is broken, but because the response will show how mature the developer process is. If maintainers patch issues quickly and communicate clearly, this becomes a stress test. If problem spread or confidence drops, then it becomes a bigger reputational issue. Next, we need to talk about artificial intelligence and crypto security, because this could quietly become one of the most important themes in the entire industry.
AI-powered security tools are starting to make smart contract audits cheaper, faster, and more continuous. Alexander Urbailis, the Chief Information Security Officer at ENS Labs, has argued that these tools could push the cost of a basic audit close to zero. That is a massive shift. For years, proper audits have been expensive. Smaller projects often either skip them or do the bare minimum. But if AI can review code quickly and cheaply, then the standard changes. David Schwed, Chief Operating Officer at SVRN and founder of a cybersecurity master's program, made a key point as well.
He said the real shift is not just finding bugs. The bigger shift is continuous auditing, with suggested fixes, at a fraction of the old cost. In plain English, instead of checking your code once before launch and hoping for the best, projects could have AI reviewing their code again and again. But here is where people need to be careful. AI does not magically make crypto safe. Urbellis and Schwed both warned that AI tools cannot replace human judgment. Some of the biggest losses in crypto are not just code bugs. They come from social engineering, stolen credentials, bad signing processes, compromised team members, and people approving transactions they do not understand. That is the lesson. AI can help find technical flaws. It cannot stop every human mistake. It cannot stop greed. It cannot stop someone clicking the wrong link. It cannot stop a bad operational setup. So for investors, this is a new filter.
