Hello, Adam Carolla.

**Adam Carolla** (1:36)
Good day, Bald Bryan.
All right. That's Bill Simmons. Now, yesterday, I was complaining that the beloved Christoph Waltz was a 25 to 1 underdog when it came to best supporting actor. And when I told Gary out in the hallway, Haftard Gary, I said, well, after the Golden Globes, and I did 10 minutes on Why the fuck was Christoph Waltz, not only last, but if it was a horse race, it'd be a sort of group of horses coming in first, second, third and fourth, and then the guy way back there without the jockey on it, just sort of running sideways. That's where Christoph Waltz was in terms of Vegas and the odds makers. I couldn't understand it. I was fucking befuddled by it. I haven't seen everybody, but I thought Christoph Waltz's performance was so dynamic, I didn't need to see other people's stuff. De Niro, I heard, was just kind of being De Niro. Alan Arkin is wildly overrated. Alan Arkin, I did see his performance. He should take what he got from Little Miss Sunshine, put it in a lead-cased mason jar and bury it somewhere, and never tell anyone where it is, because one day, I would be scared every morning, I would sleep with it clutched in my hand if I was Alan Arkin for what I got for Little Miss Sunshine, scared that it would somehow be taken away from me.

**Alison Rosen** (2:57)
When they re-tabulated.

**Adam Carolla** (2:59)
When they re, they're gonna, something's gonna happen. Well, I said to Gary Haftar in the hallway, go ahead and look for those, go ahead and tell me the new odds, and see if there's some new odds on Best Supporting Actor. And he said, they've changed dramatically. And I said, shocking, because as you know, I know nothing, and thus, I know everything.
Christoph.

**Michael Des Barres** (3:20)
I agree with half of that.

**Adam Carolla** (3:21)
Thank you. Tommy Lee Jones is still in first place at six to five, and Philip Seymour Hoffman is in second place at six to four, and then Christoph Waltz is just five. I don't know if that's one.
Five to one, basically. And then De Niro is 12 to one, and Alan Arkin is now 16 to one. So how does it work? Alan Arkin was 10 to one, Christoph Waltz was 25 to one, but then he wins the Golden Globe, and things have corrected themselves. I think as we get closer to the Oscars, you'll see this shift a little more, but it just goes to show you, when you see something that looks like an anomaly, like what the fuck is going on here, well then, something is fucking going on. Yes, I put money on it before the Golden Globes.

**Michael Des Barres** (4:09)
Philip Seymour Hoffman was very, very good, and I understand that, Timely Jones was just kind of, Timely Jones was good, but he was just, nothing spectacular about his performance in Lincoln. It was good, above average, but not, I don't know, no country for old men.
