I Benedict Arnold you in some capacity when you started that month-long hiatus.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:05)
Again, it was a week. And yeah, it's just your initial reaction to something, just, it hurt.

**Craig Carton** (0:11)
Okay, so you want to set it up here? Because if I need to apologize, I'm not above an apology.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:16)
Again, I'm wondering, part of me thinks you're gonna blow it off and go, that's ridiculous, why would you even get upset at that? Part of me thinks you'll kind of apologize. I don't think it's ridiculous. I think it's just, your initial gut reaction to it is mean, quite honestly, it's mean.

**Craig Carton** (0:33)
Okay, set it up.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:34)
Okay, so someone called in and suggested that they had an easier time getting through the phone lines without me being here.

**Craig Carton** (0:43)
They had an easier time?

**Chris McMonigle** (0:45)
Yeah, I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory in the clip, but someone called in and said, hey, what's going on? It's the first time I've been able to get through, I haven't been able to get through the last couple weeks. First day without Big Mac, maybe Big Mac is the reason why the show is so popular and hard to get through.

**Craig Carton** (0:59)
So to be honest, I don't recall that phone call, but I'm happy to take a listen to it.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:04)
Let's listen and hear your response to the idea that maybe I'm generating some phone calls.

**Craig Carton** (1:08)
Okay, go ahead, play it. Charlie, how are you, buddy?

**SPEAKER_3** (1:12)
What's up, Craig? How are you?

**Craig Carton** (1:13)
Doing great, kid. What's up?

**SPEAKER_3** (1:15)
Good, nothing. First day of C-Max out here, but when I get right through it, it's pretty funny.

**Craig Carton** (1:19)
I see who drives the show, maybe it's C-Max.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:21)
But Craig, you answered the question about a Harbo. You answered the question about a Harbo, and you said what?

**Chris McMonigle** (1:27)
And laughed.

**Craig Carton** (1:28)
I don't think I said.

**Pete Gallo** (1:31)
And laughed.

**Craig Carton** (1:32)
You guys think I said and laughed? That might have been Gallo.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:38)
Let's hear it again. Let's hear it again.

**Craig Carton** (1:39)
Good. Okay, play it again.

**SPEAKER_3** (1:41)
Craig, you answered the question about a Harbo.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:43)
No, before that. Maybe Chris is the reason we get fun calls.

**Craig Carton** (1:49)
Yeah.

**Pete Gallo** (1:50)
Gallo, why would you do that?

**Hoff** (1:52)
That's ridiculous.

**Craig Carton** (1:53)
Why did you go?

**Chris McMonigle** (1:54)
Like it was some sort of ridiculous thought.

**Hoff** (1:56)
I think that was a premature motorboat.

**Craig Carton** (1:58)
What a crazy notion.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:00)
I mean, that's insane.

**Craig Carton** (2:01)
But I didn't say anything.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:03)
No, you laughed at the idea that I'm the one getting phone calls.

**Craig Carton** (2:05)
Well, the idea is comical to me, but I didn't say anything. I didn't put you down. I didn't take a shot.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:10)
I said that. I said it was your initial reaction to the idea that, hey, maybe the phones are light today because Big Mac's not here.

**Craig Carton** (2:18)
Well, the phones weren't light.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:20)
Well, that's what he said.

**Craig Carton** (2:21)
Just because he happened to get through, doesn't mean the phones were light.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:26)
Play it one more time.

**Craig Carton** (2:27)
Yeah, play it again. Yeah, yeah. Good. You got it? Play it again. Good, guys. Here we go. Good.
They don't have it. I guess they accidentally deleted it.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:40)
Maybe it's Chris who drives the show. How ridiculous is that?

**Craig Carton** (2:46)
Yeah, it's crazy.

**Pete Gallo** (2:47)
That's what you take out of that.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:48)
Oh, come on.

**Craig Carton** (2:49)
So, who's the rat that made you...

**Chris McMonigle** (2:51)
There's only one way to take it.

**Hoff** (2:52)
That made you...

**Chris McMonigle** (2:53)
How should I take the idea, hey, you know, I got through today, no Big Mac, maybe it's not a coincidence, maybe he drives the show.

**Craig Carton** (2:59)
Well, how do we know that the guys even ever tried to get through before?

**Chris McMonigle** (3:01)
I don't know.

**Craig Carton** (3:02)
Right?

**Hoff** (3:02)
Now we're just taking a random guy's word for it?

**Chris McMonigle** (3:04)
I'm just saying he suggested that it was easier to get through because I wasn't here. And you scoffed at that idea.

**Craig Carton** (3:11)
I think what it is is because you weren't here, I probably took a couple extra phone calls to break up the monotony of just me talking.
