Well, let's hear the Giants, of course.

Or Aaron Judge. By the way, real quick, Big Mac. Yes. What was your take? I'm not sure if you saw this or heard this or not.

Chris McMonigle (0:09)

That's all right. I have takes on things I don't hear or see anyway.

Craig Carton (0:12)

Great. What was your take or what is your take on Tiki Barber and Evan Roberts and Sean Morash saying today that you guys need to get over this and focus on the future and not be worried about losing Jackson Dart, that the season's not over.

You have a game on Sunday. Your thoughts? I don't know if you heard that or not.

Chris McMonigle (0:33)

I didn't know I was playing.

Craig Carton (0:34)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (0:35)

I want to exclude Morash because he's with me on the devastating nature of the season.

Craig Carton (0:39)

Good to know.

Chris McMonigle (0:39)

The other two, yeah. I felt like I was being scolded over the last couple of days on being negative or disheartened by the Jackson Dart news. I'm supposed to move on and Evan, the one thing about Evan, I mean, he just comes up with another scenario from out of the woodwork every two days to tell you why it's just like that. Now, this is the same. Ryan fans should be happy about Jackson Dart being hurt or at least being, you know, at least still be excited and think anything could happen because when Gino got punched in the face, Ryan Fitzpatrick came in and won 10 games. So I should be happy.

I should understand that, hey, anything can happen. Ryan Fitzpatrick did it. So obviously there's no doubt that James Winston can come in and win 10 games and make us a borderline playoff team. Like it's just, and again, we talk about this, like we're, you gotta move on. I hear Boomer saying it too and I understand the point, but I'm not playing. They have to move on. I expect them to move on. Next Man Up. Nobody is expecting that.

That doesn't have to be my mentality, Next Man Up.

Craig Carton (1:39)

The fan base should not move on. That's why players don't understand what it's like to be fans a lot of times. In a locker room, I get the concept of Next Man Up. I get it because that's got to be your mentality. Of course. Because players never tank. Owners tank, organizations tank, not players. But to tell die-hard fans who thought they had something special going this year with John Harbaugh, with Jackson Dardenneer too, that you guys have to move on is crazy talk. Players sure are fine. I get the message here.

But to tell a die-hard fan, you got to stop worrying about this. You got to stop complaining about it. You got to stop bitching about it. You got to move on and put all your support behind Jameis.

That's the point of being a fan. Is that you deal with the emotions of things that players don't have to deal with.

Chris McMonigle (2:36)

Not only don't have to, don't have the ability to. They don't have the ability to. They don't have, it's not afforded to them.

Craig Carton (2:43)

I'll tell you this. In a couple of months, when Johnny Van Beesbroek gets hurt, I don't want to hear Boomer talking about, we lost our starting goalie.

You got me?

If Beeser goes down early, I don't want to hear Boomer talking about, hey Knicks man up, Knicks man up. You know, on my bed, Mike Richter. If Mike Richter goes down this year, I don't want to hear Boomer going, I don't want you Knicks man up. Get over it. Go out there and win without him. Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (3:17)

My kid is going to have to just figure out what to do.

Craig Carton (3:19)

I don't know, oh, I got one for Tiki. If Rexam loses their striker, I don't want to hear Tiki going, Knicks man up.

Chris McMonigle (3:28)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (3:28)

Go win a soccer game.

Chris McMonigle (3:30)

Well, we better hear those things from them.

Craig Carton (3:32)

Yeah. Knicks man up.

Chris McMonigle (3:34)

Yeah, we better hear the Mexican.

Craig Carton (3:35)

Not bothered by it. Listen, I... Got to focus on other things. Can't worry about losing your best player.

Chris McMonigle (3:40)

Yeah. No, I understand where they're coming from. I do. I truly do, but it's just...

And the idea, oh, well, hey, listen, rec... You know, Ryan Fitzpatrick came in in 110 games.

Craig Carton (3:50)

I'm going to tell you something right now.
