Boo hoo!
319, Carton Show Big Mac. Football's back tonight, and by the way, brand new feature here on The Carton Show with Big Mac at 6 o'clock. Any night that there is an NFL game, or obviously Friday's going into the weekends, the guys came to me today and said, hey, are you cool? And I appreciated you asking, you didn't have to.
With the threes, meaning Big Mac, Petey Hoffman and Anthony Gallo, they're gonna have a season-long competition picking games. I, of course, do not participate in that because I'm a compulsive gambler and it's for entertainment purposes only. Do not follow their picks and think you're gonna make money on them. They'll have good weeks and bad weeks, no rhyme or reason to it. But they've agreed, the three of them, to have a season-long competition starting tonight through the Super Bowl and they've also agreed to allow me to participate solely in coming up with what the penalty is forever comes in last and what the prize is forever comes in first.
Big Mac (1:07)
Okay.
Craig Carton (1:07)
So if you come in second, you're alright.
If you win, you're gonna win something. If you come in last, there's gonna be a penalty.
Big Mac (1:18)
Something tells me you're more interested in coming up with the penalty than you are the prize.
Craig Carton (1:22)
I am, as a matter of fact. I don't really care all that much about the prize at all. As long as it doesn't cost me any money.
That's all.
Big Mac (1:29)
Okay.
Craig Carton (1:30)
And for the sake of the audience, I need them to hear the three of you independently agree that these are the terms that we have off the air agreed to. So there's no nonsense if it comes down to February and one of you is like, I never signed up for that.
So have you agreed to these terms?
Big Mac (1:47)
I don't know what the penalty is yet. You gotta tell me what the penalty is.
Craig Carton (1:50)
No, that's the beauty of it.
Big Mac (1:51)
I'm just signing up to anything? The penalty could be anything?
Craig Carton (1:54)
No, so here's what I'll, that's a fair question. I thought there was just a level of trust there that apparently doesn't exist as yet.
I'm gonna give you three options. The three options will be put in a hat. You'll blindly pick one of the three, so you won't know which one, but you know it's gonna be A, B or C.
Big Mac (2:10)
I mean, listen, I agree to prize and penalty, but I'm willing. Thank you, sir. There's just, you know, there's things I won't do.
Craig Carton (2:18)
Like what's on your mind that you're concerned about me asking you to do?
Big Mac (2:21)
No, I don't know.
Craig Carton (2:22)
I'm just saying. I'm not gonna make you. I'm not gonna make you something where it's like I put you in harm's way.
Big Mac (2:26)
Okay.
Craig Carton (2:27)
Yeah. I wouldn't do something that affects your marriage or your children.
Big Mac (2:31)
Okay.
Craig Carton (2:31)
Obviously. But it might be a little embarrassing. Yeah. You might not want to do it. Yeah.
But you know, like I would never do like make you.
Big Mac (2:40)
That's all right. There's no chance I'm coming in last with these two.
Craig Carton (2:42)
I also agree with that. So you're in. Pete, are you in?
Big Mac (2:45)
As long as it doesn't affect my kidney or liver, I'm good.
Craig Carton (2:49)
OK. You pick your kidney and you live over your wife and children. OK. That's fine. That's fine. Grab Gallo, please, just so I can have him on the record. That way in February after the Super Bowl. And obviously, it could be decided well before that if you're based on the records.
You're this thing could be a wrap, you know, January, obviously, or even December based on if you had a great run and they didn't. Anthony, are you agreeing to the terms of your three man battle royale?
We'll go over the terms of how many games you have to pick and all that.
Big Mac (3:17)
I mean, we can do that.
Craig Carton (3:18)
We don't need to bore the audience with that, but.
Big Mac (3:20)
Yeah, we'll do that at 6 o'clock.
Craig Carton (3:21)
Are you signing up for whoever comes in dead last, there will be a punishment phase? I'm down.
Big Mac (3:28)
I'm in.
Craig Carton (3:28)
Okay.
Second place is easy. Nothing.
Big Mac (3:32)
Nothing.
