Big injury updates for the Broncos Stars. And before we dive in to everything we learned from day six of Broncos Training Camp, make sure to hit us with a thumbs up and subscribe to this video for all of your Broncos updates. And let's dive in to every single injury update and everything else that we learned on the field from the Broncos. And it starts with Jaylen Waddling. Jaylen Waddle walked off the practice field on Wednesday and did not return. Sean Payton stated that he had quote, muscle tightness and would be fine. On Thursday, Waddle did not practice, but he was on the field and he had a noticeable limp walking around, but was in good spirits on the practice field. And after practice, Sean Payton said that the star receiver will be back in just four to five days. So that is very encouraging for Jaylen Waddle and the Broncos. He's going to miss less than a week with this injury, which is very good considering what it could have been. So it appears that Jaylen has avoided serious injury. If you want to see the video, I posted it to my Twitter, Zac Stevens over on Twitter X. Also, the next injury to update you on is Courtland Sutton. And this one is not an injury. It's a status that we're updating you on. And it's Soldier Sutton. After not practicing the last two days, Courtland Sutton was a minimal participant on Thursday, that's more than he did on Tuesday or Wednesdays practice. Sutton warmed up with the team, but went to the side field during individual drills. He rejoined the offense for the rest of practice, but did not participate after that. Typically, players rehabbing injuries go to the side field. However, after practice, Sean Payton said that Courtland is not injured. And he really emphasized that. And then we talked to Sutton right after. And Sutton told the media that he is indubitably healthy. There's no question about it. He is healthy. And the reason that he's been missing these practices, according to him, is that he's, quote, being a good soldier and listening to the training staff. He also said that it's about making sure that he's fresh for a playoff run instead of just getting all of these practices in right now. He said that they do some tests and they do benchmarks of where he's at. So this is all about making sure Sutton is ready for a deep playoff run. For the Broncos. Before I get to another injury update, make sure to hit us with a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel. Bonito's back. Only 48 hours after leaving practice with an injury, Nik Bonito was back on the practice field in a limited role. Number 15 participated in stretch with the team, but then took the side field shortly after. While Bonito was far from a full participant in practice, having him on the field for part of practice was an encouraging sign. Payton stated earlier in the week that Bonito will be fine, and it appears that that is going to be the case. Now, let's dive to what happened on the field in between the lines. Bonix was sharp until he was mossed. In the first two team periods of the day, Bonix didn't have a single pass hit the ground. The highlight was a dart from Bonix to Pat Bryant in the middle of the field for a 15-yard gain. Riley Moss was in great coverage, but Pat Bryant made an even better catch and Bonix made an even better throw. However, in the third team period, the defense locked down the Broncos passing attack. Moss got his revenge on two different plays. The first, Moss was in coverage, in smothering coverage, I should say, on Marvin Mims down the right sideline. Nix's pass wasn't able to get through the coverage, went over Marvin Mims' head, and it was fantastic coverage. The very next play, and before that, Marvin Mims was asking for a flag. He thought that there was too good of coverage from Riley Moss. He did not get a flag thrown his way. Two plays later, Moss had a pass breakup, once again covering Marvin Mims. Marvin was not pleased after the rep, and he threw his helmet after the play, and it looked like he might have gotten, fell down on his shoulder, but I talked to a source that said, Marvin will be okay. The play in between those two was an overthrow from Bo Nix to Lil Jordan Humphrey on the left side. So Bo Nix started perfect and ended very tough with the defense coming up big right there. Also worth noting that this practice was not in pads after three straight days in pads. The Broncos took today off in pads. Expect them to be back in pads either tomorrow or Saturday. They're definitely gonna be in pads on Saturday, so tomorrow we'll see if they're in pads as well. Before I get to some other news and notes from practice, make sure to hit us with a thumbs up and subscribe to this video. We appreciate that. Sean Payton after practice said that Bo Nix is, Bo Nix is health quote looks really good and he's moving around like normal and I can confirm that watching every single rep of practice. Bo Nix looks like his normal self, which is really good. Payton also said that Nix's processing speed at times can be too fast, but instead of being too slow, that's the way preferred one that Sean Payton would rather have. Sometimes he moves on from receivers too fast and Sean Payton believes that that can be coached out of him, but when a person is too slow at processing, that is very difficult to coach them to be faster. So that's a good thing for Bo Nix. Luke Wattenberg did not practice for a third straight day, did see him out there. So not too worried about him. Sean Payton also believes that he is going to be fine. Ben Powers did not practice in the team period. Alex Palachewski filled in for him. That's a planned schedule absence for Ben Powers there, as he still continues his recovery from the injuries that he's had over the last year. At least one player will miss Saturday's practice as they go with Sean Payton and a number of coaches to Canton for Drew Brees' induction into the Hall of Fame. That player, we don't know. My guess is Will Lutz will be joining them as he is a former teammate of Drew Brees. In the ring of fame, Coach Mike Shanahan watched practice and talked to Sean Payton for a period of practice. Great seeing an all-time Bronco out here at practice. And then finally, a fun moment of practice. Will Lutz made roughly a 70-yard kick on air to make the fans in attendance go absolutely nuts. Malcolm Roach noticed this. He went over and said, Will, I'm going to take a shot at kicking a field goal. He moved it to the 40, so it was a 40-yard field, he lined up, got the crowd pumped up, went to kick it, fell on his back, and the ball went about 30 yards left and short. So Malcolm Roach, probably not the Broncos' emergency kicker, but he definitely is the number one hype man for the fans and this team. That was it from day six of Training Camp Broncos. I have two more practices this week. We'll be here for updates.
