Live from Revolt Studios at the ATL, it's time for BIG FACTS, BIG BANK, DJ Scream, and the streets wanted it. We finally made it happen, Yk Niece.

YK Niece (0:17)

Well, BIG FACTS is dead. Nah, but it is it.

SPEAKER_3 (0:19)

What's up, what's up, what's up?

YK Niece (0:20)

Hey! You good? Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (0:22)

Good to see you. Appreciate you pulling up on us. We know you've been, you know what I'm saying, on that grind hustling, getting money, you know what I'm saying, putting out hits, we appreciate that. How it feel for you?

YK Niece (0:32)

Good. It feel great, actually.

SPEAKER_3 (0:33)

Feel great. What you was doing before it popped off, I read some of this online. Before that, you had a job, like a regular job. What was it?

YK Niece (0:41)

FedEx? No, it was Pepsi.

SPEAKER_3 (0:44)

Pepsi?

YK Niece (0:45)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (0:45)

What was you doing?

YK Niece (0:47)

Building pallets.

SPEAKER_3 (0:48)

Who?

YK Niece (0:49)

Building pallets.

SPEAKER_3 (0:50)

Building pallets, oh. Warehouse. Warehouse, yeah.

YK Niece (0:53)

Yeah, like get ready, soldiers, water, shit like that.

SPEAKER_3 (0:57)

So when you was in there, did you ever in your wildest dreams imagine that she was gonna go from that to like...

YK Niece (1:04)

No, but I always told myself, I used to always have conversations with my friends, like we gonna do this, we gonna do that, or if I had money, da, da, da, da, da. And I just knew, I just always got up and went to go get it. So I knew one day God was just gonna, I didn't know how it was gonna come, but I was praying on it, so just happy.

SPEAKER_3 (1:22)

So you kinda say you manifested, did you manifest rapping, or you just manifest?

YK Niece (1:26)

No, not rapping. I would just say the financial support.

SPEAKER_3 (1:31)

Get money. This a sex period.

YK Niece (1:34)

Like just being able to do, not have to do whatever, being able to help.

SPEAKER_3 (1:38)

Yeah. So how'd it rap and stuff? How long you been rapping?

YK Niece (1:42)

She's been with me.

SPEAKER_3 (1:44)

That was your first song? That was your first verse?

No way.

YK Niece (1:51)

How'd that come about?

SPEAKER_3 (1:53)

I'm saying like just the neighborhood shit or something?

YK Niece (1:56)

No, it was just like on some fun girl, fun, like on some fun shit. Like just went to the studio, got a bottle, got drunk, made something.

SPEAKER_3 (2:05)

You talkin that shit on there, I ain't even.

YK Niece (2:08)

Yeah, I'm back.

SPEAKER_1 (2:11)

Hey, let me ask you something though.

You see how you did it the first time? Do you find yourself trying to be too serious now? Like trying to put too much effort in it instead of doing it the same way the fun, like how the fun left?

YK Niece (2:25)

No, like when people come to the studio with me, they be like, what you doing? Like I'm doing, this is how I make my music. Like I giggle, laugh, talk, listen to music, like it's just, cause I feel like it all depends on like the mood and what's going on. So when there's energy in the room, it gives the song the energy. So I try to like, don't go in and just try to, I mean, it ain't been times that I had to go in and just be straightforward, cause I was on the timeline. But if it's just me, like just getting a session and making music, I like try to just not make it so serious. So it can still be fun.

SPEAKER_1 (2:59)

How do you feel to have like the whole city, like I never heard not one person say no bullshit about you. Like everybody follows you from the men to the women, to the kids.

YK Niece (3:07)

How that feel?

It feels good. It made me feel like I'm her even though I already knew that, but it just like the world love you. So it's like, yay.

SPEAKER_1 (3:18)

Yay.

Duh, real shit. Duh, you got that energy. Whatever was destined for you, it was destined for you. It was gonna happen anyway. Whatever you would have tried, it was gonna work.

SPEAKER_3 (3:28)

You just light up any room you walk in.

YK Niece (3:30)

I was gonna start something. I was tired of working for the white folk. So I was gonna start, start figuring something out.
