Yeah, well, you've taken sort of the joke out of it now, because you've taken the guy that I was picking for the first 12 to 15 weeks of the competition, but that's all right.

Hugo Hawkehan is who I've gone with. So he obviously came in at the mid-season draft period as well for the Crows. So he's done very well to establish himself in the team and then get into a couple of finals as well. He didn't disgrace himself on the weekend. 24 disposals, four marks, 497 meters gained. He had four inside fifties, nine score involvements as well, which I thought was pretty great. Three intercept possessions and he went at 87.5 percent disposal efficiency.

He's a very good ball user, which is clearly one of the reasons why they went and got him. And if you look at Adelaide's makeup, they need a few more good ball users because they struggled to shift the ball from defense to attack.

And I've gone from Murphy Reed, the tried and true next generation nominee. So he was criticized for his efforts in the qualifying final against Hawthorne. He bounced back very strongly. 23 disposals, 5 tackles, 2 center clearances, 2 goal assists, 263 meters gained, 4 inside 50s and 11 score involvements.

You know, I was thinking on reflection, you know the guy who we should have thrown up, even though he's not in the AFL. Well, Axel Walsh at 17, he rucked in a waffle preliminary final yesterday against the best ruckman in the WAFL on the Eastland and held his own and had a couple of pretty special moments as well where he sawed above him and tapped the ball to wherever he liked.
