Mad Food, I'm Jordan, Max is here. Jumbo Timelines is the sponsor. Mad Jumbo is the promo code for How Much, Max?

**Max Shapiro** (0:10)
20% off.

**Jordan Okun** (0:11)
That is good discount.

**Max Shapiro** (0:14)
It's a very good discount.

**Jordan Okun** (0:16)
As far as a wine buyer goes, right?

**Max Shapiro** (0:18)
As far as anything goes, I'll take 20%.

**Jordan Okun** (0:21)
That's right. California Natural Wines, they got the Rosé, the Pino, the Riesling, all the blends. You need to be in the business of booze. Promo code is Mad Jumbo. Okay. Coming hot off summer produce, summering at Farmer's Market across the city, I had to wain grow it. I had to get it on.
I was in Santa Monica. It's so rare that I'm on the west side in the mornings. I was in Santa Monica. The episode had come out.

**Max Shapiro** (0:52)
You were inspired.

**Jordan Okun** (0:54)
Yeah. You know, I wanted to go. You got me all, you know what you got me excited about?

**Max Shapiro** (0:58)
Fruit.

**Jordan Okun** (0:59)
The stone fruits.

**Max Shapiro** (1:00)
Okay.

**Jordan Okun** (1:00)
Okay. That's what I had the most as kids. I ate so many goddamn plums in the summer as a kid. That's how I got this body that I'm now trying to get rid of.

**Max Shapiro** (1:09)
This is a body by plum?

**Jordan Okun** (1:11)
Right. That's right. Okay. All the sugar.

**Max Shapiro** (1:13)
Yeah, natural sugar.

**Jordan Okun** (1:15)
Right. So I hit the Santa Monica Farmer's Market full of confidence and the need for fruit and veg, the need for melon, and of course the need for plum. And I of course had to stop at Peds for some chorizo.

**Max Shapiro** (1:30)
I love the chorizo.

**Jordan Okun** (1:31)
Okay. And what should I do with that chorizo? Well, I got a big old bag of it.

**Max Shapiro** (1:37)
Last week, I got some beautiful peppers from Vang. I hollowed them out and I piped in the chorizo into the pepper. And then I roasted that pepper with some ham stock in the...

**Jordan Okun** (1:49)
What?...

**Max Shapiro** (1:49)
in the tray.

**Jordan Okun** (1:50)
Where do you roast it? In the oven?

**Max Shapiro** (1:52)
In the oven. Where do you roast things?

**Jordan Okun** (1:55)
I don't know. When a guy like you uses the word roast, I'm thinking you're out in the wilderness, building some huge fire like Tom Hanks and Castaway.

**Max Shapiro** (2:04)
So anyway, it's a chorizo stuffed pepper, and I made a purple sticky corn puree and paired it with that pizzeria chorizo.

**Jordan Okun** (2:15)
You know what? Maybe I'll do that. What kind of pepper?

**Max Shapiro** (2:18)
It was a green and purple pepper from Vang.

**Jordan Okun** (2:20)
You got to get a big enough pepper.

**Max Shapiro** (2:23)
Small, individual size peppers, like the size bigger than like the size of two golf balls.

**Jordan Okun** (2:28)
And I don't have a piping bag, so I could just use a Ziploc and cut the little corner.

**Max Shapiro** (2:32)
It just helps, you know, if you shove that thing in with a spoon, it's not as good. You need to pipe it in and kind of make sure it gets all the corners.

**Jordan Okun** (2:41)
You can't be shoving it in, guys. You gotta take your time with it, right?

**Max Shapiro** (2:45)
That's true.

**Jordan Okun** (2:46)
I visited the Wongs.

**Max Shapiro** (2:49)
First week.

**Jordan Okun** (2:50)
Oh, these Wongs and their mangos are back, baby.

**Max Shapiro** (2:54)
How was that line?

**Jordan Okun** (2:55)
You know, the line wasn't that bad.
The noticeable thing, everyone was asking about the Wongs. Max got a hard time about it because we were doing so much work for you people that he didn't have all the info that he needed that the Wongs are back. The best mango in the biz, right?

**Max Shapiro** (3:13)
It's a delightful mango.

**Jordan Okun** (3:16)
The mangos, and maybe it's because I was there an hour after the market opened. I don't think so, though. The mangos were noticeably small.

**Max Shapiro** (3:25)
That's fine.

**Jordan Okun** (3:26)
To medium size.

**Max Shapiro** (3:27)
That's fine. They have different varieties of mango.

**Jordan Okun** (3:29)
Okay, because last time, last season...

**Max Shapiro** (3:31)
They don't have the Valencia Prides yet.

**Jordan Okun** (3:33)
The Valencia Prides are the big boys.

**Max Shapiro** (3:36)
Yes, these are, I forgot the name of these. These are different, but you'll get the Valencia Pride soon.

**Jordan Okun** (3:40)
The Valencia's will come.

**Max Shapiro** (3:41)
