I think everybody out there knows, I'm not a Yankee fan. But I mean, they are fun to watch compared to what the Mets are doing.
And I have to say that, you know, who needs Judge, who needs Stanton, who needs Ballinger? I mean, you got Jones, you got Grisham. I mean, you got all these young players, Lombard. I mean, this is, I mean, this is what culture is for a team. I mean, I don't know how many times I got to say it, but they expect to win, they put that uniform on, they go out and they do their thing. Maybe there's a couple of guys that, I don't know, soil the uniform every now and again, but I will say that it's just amazing what they're doing. And you can't complain about how they're winning, what they're doing, who's participating, who's managing them, who is general managing them, what their pitching staff looks like, what their bullpen looks like. And they're doing this without three of their most important offensive players. And you know, I wish my team could do this. I wish a team that I rooted for who were missing three of their best players can still remain relevant and still win. Now I know that they are what, six games behind the Tampa Bay Rays who continue to win. You know, I think they're in the midst of sweeping the athletics. But you know what, it's just, especially when you watch every night Yankee Stadium is full. It is full every night. I mean, and I can understand why they want to, you know, you want to say they want to sell a piece of it.
It's more complicated than that. The amount of money that they're bringing in and what they're getting from private equity and how they're restructuring debt and things of that nature. It's a completely different set of circumstances. But on the baseball field, I mean, and for guys like Trent Grisham who for whatever reason, and I understand that the lack of production is significant, but when you're missing all of these guys in a line up, that puts undue pressure on a guy like him, and he comes through last night. It's great to see.

Yeah. And if you want to juxtapose what's going on with the Yankees or what's going on with the Mets, one thing that I really like from a Mets perspective of what's going on with the Yankees is, they're not making any excuses, and they continue to do. Listen, their offense has been rough at times, but they're finding ways to win. They're not completely out of it. They've lost key players more than just about anybody in baseball, and they're still right there. So if I hear one excuse about, well we had all these injuries this year, from David Stern, Steve Cohen, or anybody else in that organization, go screw, look over there, and I don't know if they're gonna win a World Series or not, but look over there and see how they battled through, found ways to do it, off-season moves that they did or did not make put this team in a position to still compete at a high level as opposed to being one of the worst teams in the game for an entire season when they were for a half a season last year.

You know, it's really amazing when you think about it. We are in the dog days of August baseball season, and it's just every day, every day, every day, more games, more games, another game. I mean, it just never stops and it never ends. And you know, there's criticism that gets thrown around. You know, we're acting like these are the Kansas City Royals or with the San Francisco Giants or the New York Mets who are horrendous. Meanwhile, they just keep plugging along and they do it with a lot of young players, their own players. You know, they made a couple moves at the trade deadline. Everybody was unhappy that they didn't get a catcher. You know, Austin Wells has actually had some impact here since the trade deadline as well.
You know, Ryan McMahon has a big hit last night. He's a light hitting third baseman.
I don't know. It's just, what it is, it's just, you got to appreciate what they're dealing with and the fact that they're still winning.

**Gio Urshela** (3:55)
Yeah. I mean, we talk about these teams in town that can never get the stink off of them. And I know that the Yankees are not winning championships every single year. It's been a long time. It's 2009 for the Yankee fan and they get frustrated. But if we're talking about how, you know, teams and culture and you change things and things stay the same and the Jets are one of those teams and the Mets are one of those teams and Knicks for many years one of those teams until they weren't. Well, the Yankees are the opposite of that. There's been so many different guys that have been in the uniform. There's been consistency with the general manager and the manager of recent history. But yeah, they're always putting on that uniform and there's a pride associated with it as opposed to what you see with the Jets organization and Mets organization. How are they going to screw this up? How are they going to be the butt of the joke this time around? And the Yankees are just there 180 away from that.
