This is a surprise to me. The Minnesota Vikings will be keeping all four quarterbacks, including Kyle Murray, Carson Wentz, Max Baltimore, and JJ McCarthy. McCarthy, who missed seven games last year due to multiple injuries, completed nine of 17 passes for 115 yards, took two sacks in the preseason. Ocho, are you surprised they're keeping both quarterbacks?

I think there's one other team that kept four quarterbacks as well. Hey, Joe, I'm not sure why they did. Obviously, Kyla Murray is going to be our starter. Carson Wentz is going to be our number two. And I'm assuming they didn't want to cut someone. They didn't want to cut someone that didn't want to let JJ McCarthy walk too soon.
He's not the safety vial. He's not your security blanket. Your security blanket is Carson Wentz. So I'm not sure why they kept four quarterbacks. I think I don't want to say a bad look. They don't want to say, oh, we made a mistake, and especially in letting JJ McCarthy go already. Because if I'm not mistaken, this is just his third year.

I don't think they want to come up off him just yet, even though he's still not going to be the starter, let alone the second string. So I really have no clue what went in the decision in keeping him outside of, we don't want to look like we made such a huge mistake drafting him that early. He was the seventh to eighth pick, if I'm not mistaken, in the first round. Hell, just two years ago.
