Joe Ocho, the NBA is investigating a four year, $64 million deal between Gary Trent Jr and the Bucks for possible salary cap circumvention.
Trent is set to receive a significant pay raise and multi-year contract despite having some of the lowest production of his career. He averaged eight points a game, shot 39% during the 25-26 season. His lowest average since his rookie year when he played 15 games as a rookie in Portland. The NBA is looking into the contract as the lead collective bargain agreement contains the clause against prior agreements. Joe, first Kawhi, now this. What's going on? Even more fishy is paying him when they already had a crowded backcourt, Ryan Rollins, Tyler Hero, Kevin Porter Jr. and they drafted Braden Burris with a 10th pick. So what's really going on, Joe? I ain't gonna lie, it is a little skeptical, Ocho. But hell, I just seen Kirk Cousins here. Did they investigate him?
