If you dig a knot long enough, you ask enough questions, you will realize that what people really want is they want passive income. It is nearly impossible to reach financial freedom by using those vehicles, and that is why.

Wealth Without Wall Street Tribe, excited to introduce Mr. Cameron Christiansen to the show. Cameron, so glad to have you on, man.
Cameron Christiansen (0:56)
Gentlemen, thank you for having me. I've been looking forward to this for a while.
Russ Morgan (1:00)
Yeah, us too. Well, for the person who hasn't heard you before, I want to start this off with a bang. If someone listening right now, Cam, took to heart everything you're about to share, how would their lives change if they took action on it?
Cameron Christiansen (1:18)
Russ, I'm going to share this, and I hope it doesn't sound too grand, but I would say it would absolutely take their financial lives flipping on its head.
A complete 180 The reason I say that is because I've been in this industry for almost 20 years, and we've been helping people take back control of their finances. And for me, that is probably the single greatest thing that I enjoy about what I do, is watching that light bulb turn on for somebody, is because for so long, people have been out there and they've been outsourcing their finances. They've been told, you know what, you're not smart enough to do this, you can't handle it. Give it to me, I'm the smartest guy in the room, hand me all your money, come back in six months, and I'll tell you how it's doing, right? But when you actually give somebody control and then you also give them a path on how to create wealth moving forward, man, I'll tell you what, it's pretty exciting.
Russ Morgan (2:08)
So the thing I was gonna ask you about control, but you elaborated to what control looks like.
But there's a person right now that is like, I'm overwhelmed by the daily activities in my life, the business I'm running, the kids, I mean, I know you, bro, like you're a super dad over there. You're coaching volleyball teams, you're traveling with the teams, you're running a business, you're helping clients one-on-one, you're doing all these things, and it's overwhelming for the person who hears all of that and says, man, more control? I feel out of control, like this would seem like a job. How do you help that person continue to listen to the rest of this?
Cameron Christiansen (2:53)
What I would tell you, if you're sitting out there listening, you're feeling the way that Russ just described is, I would say that you don't have a choice, right? As comfortable as it may be for you right now or quote unquote uncomfortable, right? The only thing that you're deferring if you continue down this road is your financial success. I will tell you right now, if you go out there and you talk to somebody that's 60, 65 years old and you ask them financially how they're feeling, they are not in a great place. One, they're feeling behind. They're feeling like everybody is farther along than them. Number two is they're pissed off at their financial advisor is because they did everything that he told them to for the last 20, 30 years and it's not working out for them. If somebody is out there, they're feeling uncomfortable, they don't have time. I will tell you that you have to make time and you've got to take back control of this because if you outsource this function of your life, you will not end up in the place that you want to be.
That was a little rough.
Joey Muré (3:52)
Hey, tell it like it is, my friend. Tell it like it is.
Cameron Christiansen (3:55)
It's the truth, man.
Joey Muré (3:57)
It sounds like you've had a conversation like this or two recently. Can you elaborate maybe on somebody that you've talked to in that same position?
Cameron Christiansen (4:08)
Joey, great question. I've had a lot of these conversations over the years.
And to be honest, I used to probably be a little bit softer in my delivery on some of that, right? Is I would be like, hey, this is a good idea. You might want to take a look at it. But man, you know what is now that I've been doing it for so long and I've seen people have success, I've had personal success, I've had clients that have done it. But also, to be honest, man, is I've seen people that have kind of come in and sat across from me and maybe not followed through or maybe didn't take some of the advice that I was heeding and I see where they're at now. And I almost feel guilty about it is because man, I'm like, I had an opportunity to help somebody and I wasn't able to execute. And that's probably the thing that bothers me the most, to be totally honest. I could think of like five or six people just off the top of my head that, man, you know what? I started a conversation with them. We weren't able to finish it and, you know, see where they're at now. So that's upsetting.
