Chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more, can make me feel like a spectator in my own life.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:02)
Botox, on a botulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It's the number one prescribed branded chronic migraine preventive treatment.
**SPEAKER_5** (1:13)
Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert Eaton syndrome and medications including botulinum toxins as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

Let's just say you develop an apartment building and you hold it for 10 years, all appreciation will be tax free to you. That's where you turn a good investment into a great investment. But it is buyer beware. Any capital gains that are happening now in the fall of 2026 qualify.
**Maggie Lake** (2:17)
Hello, everyone. Welcome to Wealthion, Maggie Lake. Joining me today to discuss how to best manage capital gains taxes is Brett Rentmeester, Founder and Managing Director of WindRock Wealth Management. Hi, Brett. It's great to see you again.
**Brett Rentmeester** (2:30)
Nice to see you, Maggie.
**Maggie Lake** (2:32)
We love talking taxes. It's the thing everybody hates, but we love to figure out how to best manage it.
**Brett Rentmeester** (2:37)
That's right.
**Maggie Lake** (2:38)
Warm welcome to all of our viewers.
I'll just say at the start, if you have any questions about anything we discuss in this conversation, remember you can get a free consult with a member of the WindRock team just hit the link in the description. And we may have some questions because this is very interesting. So Brett, obviously we're sitting at stocks near or at record highs, US equities, and a lot of investors as a result are sitting on some big gains. And I think many of them are caught between wanting to take some money off the table and concerns about the tax implications that may come with that, those capital gains taxes. What are you telling your clients?
**Brett Rentmeester** (3:14)
Yeah, you're right. I mean, that is the age old debate people have when they have big gains.
They know intuitively they should trim back, take some gains. But it's very hard to do. It's very hard to pay the tax piper, so to speak. And so it's one of the good problems investors have. Listen, there's a lot of things in investing that are bad problems, right? This is making money and having big gains. But it causes an equal amount of stress, I see, with people. And it is something that needs to be managed. Now, in a normal kind of year-to-year context, oftentimes you're doing that by working with an advisor that's taking tax losses and other positions so that you can sell some of your gains, try to manage timing of things from one year to the next. But realistically, that only goes so far. So if you're sitting on a big gain or you're selling a business with a big capital gain, those are things that require other kind of planning that's a little more sophisticated. And one of the more interesting things that we're gonna talk about is the Opportunity Zone rules that are coming into effect in 2027
