JJ, congratulations, episode number 1000 Well done, man.
JJ Zachariason (0:07)
Thank you, thank you, yeah. As you guys know, a lot of the episodes are shorter in length, right? Because that's kind of what the Late-Round Podcast is all about and what I've been doing for years. But I asked ChatGPT to estimate the number of hours that all of these episodes were. So, not working on the podcast, but how long in duration these episodes were. And that includes becoming Best Ball Bro, that includes Late-Round Perspectives. Do you have any guesses on how many hours the Late-Round Podcast Feed basically has in podcast content right now?
Rich Ryan (0:38)
Oh, that's a good one. It's shorter for me. I'm a 1.75x bro. But if we're talking 1x, I don't know, three weeks?
JJ Zachariason (0:46)
Three weeks? Three weeks? Okay, so I asked ChatGPT, it's 46 freaking days. It's 46 days of podcast content that could almost get you to the start of the NFL season. I'm JJ, and last year, I tried my hardest to become a best ball bro. I drafted over 500 teams. I talked to some of the most successful best ball players in existence and I admittedly had mixed results. So this year, I'm going to chase that title once again. My plan is to max enter DraftKings Millionaire Maker, and I'm going to document all of it while talking to the brightest best ball minds in the planet. Last year, I didn't quite get there. But this year, this is going to be the year where I officially become a best ball bro.

Now back to the show. Welcome in to another episode of Becoming a Best Ball Bro. I'm JJ Zachariason, joined as always by Rich Ryan. Rich, what's going on, man?
Rich Ryan (3:29)
JJ, I am fantastic. We're recording this on a Tuesday. I got my Garrett Wilson one-handed cat shirt on because he signed his extension yesterday on Monday. And just before we hopped on to record, Sauce Gardner signed his extension as well. It's joint press conference season in Florham Park, New Jersey. Two guys that are great dudes from all accounts. I have a birdie in the building. And from all accounts, these are two great dudes, great young players.
Guys that I'm excited for my four-year-old to get older and watch play for the New York Jets. So very excited.
JJ Zachariason (4:09)
I'd be excited about two overrated players too. It's fine. I understand it's tough as a Jets fan. I'm just kidding. I'm totally kidding. I'm totally kidding. Although Sauce wasn't as strong last year, to be fair. To be fair.
Rich Ryan (4:19)
Definitely.
JJ Zachariason (4:19)
But I think that they can turn things around a bit with a new coaching staff there.
Rich Ryan (4:23)
What's scary about Sauce is Sauce definitely had a down year last year. And still, if you look at any peripheral metric when it comes to completion percentage, target or target percentage in the offense, he was still like a top 10 dude at the position. So even in a down year. And he's never had the chance to play traveling corner, which we would think under Aaron Glenn system, a little more aggressive if he would have the chance to play a little more man and get those giant alien arms onto somebody and make some plays.
