JJ tells Rich which early-round players he's drafted most often this summer before being joined by Tod Burros to talk all things best ball. Tod shares his favorite ways to build unique playoff teams, explains how he thinks about player exposure, and discusses plenty more strategy along the way.

JJ, good to see you after a week off. How was the vacation, man?

**JJ Zachariason** (0:05)
It was great, man. It was great to hang out with the family. Everything, though, unraveled when I got home. Our upstairs air conditioner broke, and so we've been without that for a few days now, and that's where my office is at. So my upstairs, it's been like in the 80s, high 80s at times, and I've tried to record some shows and get stuff done, and it has not been easy at all. And I gotta say, experiencing that heat inside the house, still somehow better than when I drafted Pukinakua and Devontae Adams, and someone drafted Naked Matthew Stafford at the end of the fifth round last week. I'm JJ, and over the last couple of years, I've been doing everything I can to be a best ball bro. And last season, things finally fell into place.
I got 40th in the DraftKings Millie Contest, taking home $20,000.
Maybe I became a best ball bro, but I'm still looking to learn more about this game. And I still want others to come on this ride with me. So even if you consider me a best ball bro, this could be your year. This could be the year that you officially become a best ball bro.

Welcome in to another episode of Becoming a Best Ball Bro. I'm JJ Zachariason, joined as always by Rich Ryan. Rich, what's going on, buddy?

**Rich Ryan** (2:12)
Doing great, man. The football is behind us and the football is ahead of us. I fired up three consecutive fast drafts last night after my work was finished. So I am full steam ahead for best ball and football season.

**JJ Zachariason** (2:28)
Yeah, I got some drafts in on vacation, which was great. When the kids went to bed, I was able to just hang out in the living room. It's one of the best times. The kids are settled, you had a long fun day and you just bust open the laptop and you're sitting there with your significant other and they're doing their thing. And I'm doing my thing and I'm just cranking out some drafts. I am officially over the 80 mark with my Milly drafts so far. I have to say, so I'm going to talk about some exposures here in a second of some of the higher drafted players in terms of, sorry, high ADP players, I should say. They're obviously higher drafted if I'm going to talk about the higher exposed players that I've drafted. The thing is, in these drafts, these 80 plus drafts, now I've done a couple more than 80 I have gotten the 110 in 14 of them. What? That's insane. It is the most tilting. I hit 80 and I put all my notes for today's show for the 80 drafts that I've done. Then I did two more since I put the show sheet together. In both of those drafts, I drew the 110
I have now gotten the 110 in what, 17% if you do the 82, 17% of my drafts, I've gotten the 101 three times. It is beyond frustrating, beyond tilting. If you guys feel that pain, I feel it too. I'm not getting nearly enough Jameer Gibbs and you can't do anything about it.
I'm sitting here and I'm like, I messaged Kitchen and Gadula about it, and Kitchen's like, you got to log out, log back in.
Just change things up a little bit.

**Rich Ryan** (3:57)
Draft in incognito mode, something. Yeah, right.

**JJ Zachariason** (4:00)
Change things up a little bit and maybe that will help. But what I do want to do really quick, we have a great guest on today's show. There's a long conversation. I bring up the air conditioner thing multiple times in that conversation because actually it was even warmer when I recorded that with our guests.
By the end of the 50 some minutes that we were talking, I'm literally sweating on the show. So just be prepared. If you're watching on YouTube, it gets pretty bad and like my face is red.
