Six years ago, was it? 2020 was your first Like A Version.

**Becca Hatch** (0:54)
Wow. That actually sounds so crazy when you put it like that.
That's a long time.

**Tyrone** (1:02)
What do you remember about stepping into the Like A Version studio for the first time back in 2020?

**Becca Hatch** (1:06)
I think cause it was like COVID, they had like a number set on how many people can be there. Cause obviously everyone, you know, was restricted.
Now, yeah, I was so nervous. I feel like I was like a little baby.

**Tyrone** (1:18)
Is that, was that even with the band? So now you can go a bit bigger? Cause I noticed a few more people floating around this time.

**Becca Hatch** (1:25)
Yeah, this time, I don't even think I really had like backing vocals last time. So this summer have, yeah, a few backing vocals in and like a few extra people. Um, yeah, it's really cool. I'm, yeah, I'm excited to be here.

**Abhi** (1:37)
And honestly, it feels like the perfect time with all the new music and everything that's happening in the world of Becca Hatch right now. But six years ago is quite a long time. And I feel like time lately and with the COVID of it all, it feels warped and it doesn't feel as long as it might be.

**Becca Hatch** (1:53)
This is true, this is true.

**Abhi** (1:55)
But what do you think the biggest difference is between the artist that you were back then and the artist that is now, Becca Hatch?

**Becca Hatch** (2:01)
I feel like I've become a woman.

**Tyrone** (2:04)
Period.

**Becca Hatch** (2:05)
No, but seriously though, I do feel like I was little teenage, Becca, just like finish high school, you know, and now I feel like I've grown into this young woman who's like confident in my music and, you know, explore different sounds. I'm like on this path, which I feel really excited about. So yeah, I'm feeling a lot more confident, I think, coming into the studio this time.

**Tyrone** (2:27)
Yeah, those must be kind of difficult lessons to learn as well, as a young woman and now standing where you are right now. Like what was one of those experiences where you had to really like come into your own and like trust yourself?

**Becca Hatch** (2:38)
I guess like working on this, this like, you know, new era of music. I moved to Melbourne. I like kind of just had a moment where I was like, yeah, I'm just going to do my own little thing, get a bike, you know, just to chill.
And I think just like having that time alone to like just grow as a person and, you know, really focus on like my sound and everything really, you know, allowed me to like lock in.

Yeah. What kind of bike are we talking by the way?

**Becca Hatch** (3:05)
I think it's a Merida. I don't know.

Is that one with a motor?

No.
