Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz and I'm joined by Danny Kelly, Craig Horlbeck. And today it is Power Hour where every Wednesday we power rank something. And this week we were power ranking by lows or sell lows. We I don't know the name yet. It's by lower cut bait by low or panic. I don't know. I sell the dip or panic. I don't know. Working on the name, but it's basically players who sucked and we're going to debate whether in fact they are or not by lows.
But first, Monday football, the Bears beat the Eagles. I'm on a football Bears, 27 Eagles, seven. DK, do you find this an inspiration to old people everywhere?
Craig Horlbeck (2:38)
How old is Case Keenum?
Danny Heifetz (2:40)
60
Craig Horlbeck (2:43)
He does have like an air about him that feels older than I think he actually is.
Danny Kelly (2:47)
I mean, they were talking about him like he was legitimately 50 years old. And I get because he hasn't played it. He's 38 and I get he hasn't played in a while. It's not that old.
Danny Heifetz (2:54)
Older than many play callers, offensive coordinators in the NFL.
Craig Horlbeck (2:59)
I saw last night on Twitter and all the socials that like ESPN or whoever was interviewing him, the freeze frame like for the start of the video was him just like blowing air out of his mouth, like exhaling, like, you know, the super stress, like, you know, just he just looked like he was overwhelmed a little bit.
Danny Kelly (3:17)
But he hasn't thrown a pass since 2023 in the game. So it has been a while. Well, he's the same age as Matt Stafford. But yeah, dude, for Ben Johnson, I love when a coach can like flex different muscles with different skill sets of players, you know, like I swear, there are times when coaches like having backups because it allows them to like flex and do something different. And him having Case Keenum is like an older, slower version of Jared Goff and Detroit, where Ben Johnson was. And so I feel like he was like, I got this. I can make this work. Keenum was moving in the pocket a little bit. Keenum was super accurate.
This is a fucking sick flex by Ben Johnson.
Danny Heifetz (3:55)
I'm so right with the coaching thing. You know, the Joker, it's a fucked up line, but the Joker's like, I actually don't like killing people with guns. I don't like killing them with knives because you get all the little emotions come out. I feel like that's Ben Johnson. I'd rather beat you with Case Keenum by 20 points than Caleb Williams.
Keenum, it was an amazing... I mean, the amount of things Ben Johnson did in this game, the touchdown at the end where they did the two guards pulling and running in other directions, which I guess he pulled from the Rams Super Bowl 25 years ago, was... I mean, that is an all time... Like, you know, honestly, it's like Sun Tzu. It's like one of those, like, if it doesn't work, you look like an idiot. I'm going to have both guards run as far away from the quarterback as quickly as possible, and he'll be unblocked. And the Case Keenum just gets it at the end zone.
