I have my great math teachers over there. Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 714th episode of the GeekVerse Podcast. I am the, I'm not even supposed to be here, trust now, I'm joined by.
**Kirkland** (1:02)
I'm the Cheddar, Kirk and Patsy.
**Travis** (1:03)
The Cheddar.
**Dylan** (1:04)
Hey, my name's Dylan Moss.
**Taylor** (1:06)
I'm the Steve-O, Taylor Field. This guy doesn't sound sick at all, Kirk, and listen to him.
Are you kidding me? He sounds perfect.
**Kirkland** (1:12)
That's the stock standard voice modulator that comes with it.
**Travis** (1:15)
I don't think so.
I think we all have that sometimes where it's like you can get a sick voice, like, oh, I sound better this way. I sound a little more darker, sexier. This is the like, hey, how are you doing today? It's like all the nasal.
**Kirkland** (1:26)
I'd shove you in a locker if I heard you.
**Travis** (1:28)
Yeah. I feel like it must be, I wonder, it must be the sore throat that gets you that because it messes with your vocal cords. So that gets you like the doom voice, or this gets me like the Bob voice, right? But yeah, impromptu guests, because we thought we were going to be talking about this on Saturday, which we have some things to promote. We got some things we were doing this weekend still for Comic Con, and we will talk about that a little bit later.
Hope you enjoyed that opening. We got a couple more weeks. And then my goal, my hopeful goal is to have a new opening. So just a few more episodes with those videos, then we'll do a nice little refurbish to look up for that. Lots of things on the feeds, lots of ways to support us. But we're going to get right into it because tickets went on sale for Avengers Doomsday like we knew. And there was speculation of, hey, lots of times when movies put their ticket sales and they haven't had a trailer, now is the time, right? But we kind of thought, okay, Comic Con is coming up. Probably not going to happen. Maybe like a 30 second teaser. I think Endgame did that where it was just like a couple clips and then walking at Thanos. It's like, okay, tickets on sale now, right? So that's what I kind of thought. But no, we got the whole kit of a bootle. We got the trailer that they showed at CinemaCon in April, but there's a few new things added, a few differences which we're going to talk about. So we're going to go around the room to see who liked what, who didn't like what, overall thoughts, and then we'll pull up that trailer and break it down scene by scene. Because yeah, this is obviously a big one, because no matter what we've felt about the MCU so far, we've all been massive fans, and it's going to be a very interesting time come this December. So I'm going to start with Stevell over here. Taylor, what did you think of this trailer? Did it raise your hype? Did it lower it? Are you about the same? Where are you after seeing this first look?
**Taylor** (3:00)
Oh, I mean, I'm pretty hyped.
I am. I just seen the characters together. Everyone just jive in and the relationships that's going to be kind of just coming from this. I guess mostly the interactions. That's just what I really ride high with. And so when something like this comes out, it's funny because in comparison to a single characters movie, like Spider-Man, Brand New Day, like there's lots of stuff going on there. It's fun to kind of dissect it a little bit. But when you have an Avengers trailer, I feel like there's so much that's just going on. And I just love to pick it apart and break it down and just look for all the little things that you might not see on that first watch, that second watch.
**Travis** (3:36)
That's why we're here.
**Taylor** (3:37)
That's why we're here. There's so many fun little things that just you get to pinpoint and pull from all the different movies that kind of culminates into an Avengers film. And yeah, it's just gonna be crazy to kind of see when the magic really kicks in full swing. Because I've been curious what people have been talking about online, seeing some people that are super juiced.
**Travis** (3:58)
Super Jews, the Jews are out for Avengers Doomsday. They're really happy about this trailer. They are, they are. It's like with Odyssey, when it's like 51% said they came for Nolan, it was like 55% men, and it's like Avengers, 80% Jews. Like that's it, just Jewish people. Big time for Ben Grimm, man. He's a big audience, you know? He didn't touch upon that in Fantastic Four. Big Jewish character, really does nothing, but you know.
