Plan B is a backup birth control option that's there for you when things don't go according to plan. It specifically works after unprotected sex and before pregnancy occurs by temporarily delaying ovulation. Plan B is available nationwide, at all major retailers, and through delivery apps like DoorDash. No ID, prescription, or age requirement. It's the number one OBGYN recommended brand of emergency contraception, and it won't impact your future fertility.
That's freedom to be. Use as directed.
This episode is brought to you by Starbucks.

**Peter Matera** (0:33)
That is fire.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:35)
Whoa. That's good. This might be the drink of the summer.

**Peter Matera** (0:38)
Okay. I like this one too.

**Mark Duffield** (0:39)
I'm not cool with it, okay?

**SPEAKER_1** (0:40)
Try it for yourself. Starbucks Refreshers Concentrates are coming home. Find them in the coffee aisle and make it yours.

**Mark Duffield** (0:49)
The run of Matera from 55

**Sean Gorman** (0:51)
He sets sail for home with a mighty kick.

**Peter Matera** (0:54)
Matera somehow gets out of jail. Peter Matera, 52 meters, pulls it back. What a magnificent kick by Matera.

**Sean Gorman** (1:01)
A delicate little chip to the run of Matera.

**Mark Duffield** (1:24)
I'm sure most of you have seen it. I'm sure most of you have seen it. If you haven't, do yourself a favor. Not many players kick five off a wing.
I've never seen anyone kick four of the five, like those four goals that Peter Matera kicked in 1992 Of course, the fifth was a bit of a gimme, and we'll talk to Peter about that one in a minute, because I've got something to put to him. But Peter Matera joins us on the line now. Peter, welcome.

**Peter Matera** (1:56)
Yeah, no, it's great to be on there, right, Mark?

**Mark Duffield** (1:59)
Hey, the Hall of Fame dinner last night, Sean Gorman's just been reminding me about what a great night it is. You were down there, how did you enjoy it?

**Peter Matera** (2:08)
Yeah, no, it was really good. I was there for Wushu's induction, and it was a great night catching up with a lot of the legends. And yeah, it's just a great occasion to be involved in.

**Mark Duffield** (2:21)
So John Worsfold was inducted, he was your Premiership captain in 1992 and 1994, and probably the captain for not quite all of your career, because you played a couple of games in 1990 before you hurt your knee. But tell us about Wushu the captain, and tell us about Wushu the person.

**Peter Matera** (2:42)
As a captain, all they left on the front, and as teammates, we followed the leader, and he was an awesome leader for us through those early days.
And a great person, great mate. I grew up with him and all his kids, and just a family man, and just a great bloke in all facets of the man.

**Sean Gorman** (3:10)
Ru, Sean Gorman, how are you, mate? How's the head after a big night at the Hall of Fame?

**Peter Matera** (3:16)
Yeah, Sean. Oh, mate, like, where do you end?
It's a night that you mix with bikes that you played with and idolized during your career and after your full career. You don't really want to go home. It's just awesome to catch up with so many.

**Sean Gorman** (3:35)
Absolutely. Now, talking of home, you're a Victorian now. You're living the life on the land as a bit of landed gentry. You've got the yurt full of stock licks and a few round bales over you, mate, and you're heading back up to Echuca. Is that where you're at?

**Peter Matera** (3:52)
Yeah, that's where I am, mate. Yeah, on a property about 15 ks out of Moama, which is on the border of New South Wales, Victoria.
Yeah, and it's just a great lifestyle. I'm there chasing sheep and so forth, but it's just a great lifestyle to bring up the kids.

**Sean Gorman** (4:11)
Absolutely. So every morning, you're getting up, having a nice cup of tea, putting the moleskins on, cruising around the boundary, checking out on the sheep, all that sort of stuff. How many head of sheep have you got up there, Roo?

**Peter Matera** (4:23)
Yeah, mate, about a thousand years.
And yeah, we just pretty much fill the lands when they come along. But yeah, it's a lifestyle that we always dream of and we had the opportunity to come over to Miami Chookers. It's just a, I think, it's awesome. With the fire going, with the outside and inside, it's really a country lifestyle, mate.

**Sean Gorman** (4:47)
You can't beat it. Sounds fantastic. Now, you had a little bit of a health scare a couple of years ago. How are things going on that front, mate? You're fighting fit?
