B Wil (2:54)
Yeah, he had a couple of bad balls in that game.
Mike G (2:56)
Yeah, yeah. I mean, he's- Someone asked during our last stream, they were like, what's it going to take, Mike, for this coach to pull the trigger at quarterback? And I honestly said, I don't think we'll see a change there unless the season is completely in the tank.
B Wil (3:13)
Yeah, I just- he's played for a lead again.
Because he's not the problem, I don't think you go in a different direction at quarterback.
Mike G (3:22)
Right, yeah, I don't think, I don't, but his length, but the way he's talking right now tells me he's not even going to be willing to consider it until, like, they're not, they'll look at everything else.
B Wil (3:41)
Yeah, no, 100, no, that's a factual statement. Like, I think they will change the light bulbs in Jordan Harris Stadium.
Mike G (3:49)
That's right, right, right, with a parachute before they changed Byrum Brown at quarterback.
Sometimes you just need a change of pace. Same way you go with a different running back. Sometimes you just need a guy that could come in and give you a spark. Maybe make that one play that Byrum can't make for you, because so far, his legs are not dangerous enough to negate what he's not doing well.
B Wil (4:14)
So I'll disagree with that. I think his legs are dangerous enough. You haven't leaned into the fact that that's it. I've said this over and over again.
It's his superpower, man. And if it's your superpower, why are you deciding we're only going to use this break in case of emergency?
Mike G (4:31)
But it's not always them deciding it. It's him.
B Wil (4:36)
No, I agree that that's what I mean by that's my point is that your it is his superpower.
Make everything about that. Well, I can't roll the pocket more. But if you're more design runs, give him more RP, make his legs the thing you lead with as opposed to a break in case of emergency, and he got to pull it out.
Mike G (4:58)
My point is not that his legs are not dangerous. My point is they have not been a danger.
