I'm here with my good friend, Christian Rao, Auburn Sports Commentator, extraordinary to talk a little Auburn football here on a Wednesday morning, guys. On today's show, we're going to talk about expectations for the defense, Week 1 versus Baylor and how DJ. Durkin can maybe tighten up that past defense in Week 1 But we're going to start the show talking about PFF's grade of Cody Sigler. Don't forget to like and subscribe to the channel. Christian, I love pro football focus because whenever they pop up in my feed, it's usually good news. And the good news for Auburn is that Cody Sigler is the top graded returning SEC defensive tackle. He received a grade of 85.7. Others on that list are Kentucky's Tabion Gatson. Number three is Marquis Graciel.
Number four is Old Mrs. Will Echols.
Oklahoma has two in here at five at six, Bishop Thomas and David Stone. And then Vanderbilt has Taylor Carter and Jalen Stone at seven and eight. But there were some concerns along the defensive line with the guys that they lost. Obviously, on the edge, you'll lose Keldrick Falk. But you paid a lot of money to keep DJ. Durkin here. And it seems like every single year, there's a guy who just pops up and he's a dude. I expect them to reload. What do you think about Cody Sigler and his 85.7 grade? Is he the next big defensive lineman for Auburn?

Yes, absolutely. Yes, big fan of him. Before I even saw this graphic, I've been very high on Cody Sigler this entire spring and fall camp. The way that he just walks around at the practice facility, I've seen some videos. You can tell that he's at home. You can tell that he's got a different type of aura, a different type of feel to him. I don't know if you want to consider him a leader, but man, he's an absolute dog and he's huge. And we've heard so many good things about him already. You can look back at his stats of what he did at Arkansas State and take that for a caveat, by the way, when you look at the SPFF grades. He played for Arkansas State last year, not in the SEC, but still he played some really good football.
