Listen, if we go back and talk about my initial reactions, went good, right? I didn't love what I saw from Auburn versus Florida. I don't think anybody loved what they saw. I don't think the players, coaches, nobody loved the performance the Auburn defense had versus Florida. Some straightening gotta happen, right? We got to make sure that we get out here and handle some business versus Vanderbilt. This needs to be a bounce back game for the defense in particular, and a lot of things need to happen to get you into that place. But let's talk about it. DJ Durkin did have an opportunity to stand in front of the media. It's one of the things I actually like this year that they're doing. Not just hearing from the head coach weekly, but you are getting an opportunity to hear from the coordinators as well on a regular basis. That used to be few and far between, but now you're getting more opportunities for those guys to stand in front of the media and answer some questions. So Alex Golis has his opportunities and now the coordinators are as well. DJ Durkin was there for the media again this week. Under four minutes, didn't have a lot to say, didn't answer a lot of questions. I don't know if that was by design, if he had somewhere else he had to be, but he was a bad at it, you hear me? But he did answer some very crucial questions I think people wanted to hear about. In particular, he talked about kind of why the performance was what it was versus Florida. So I want you guys to kind of listen in his words, what happened this past weekend versus Florida out there, DJ Durkin, excuse me, talking about his defenses performance.

We talked to Alex, he talked about misalignments and assignments, things like that. When you went back and watched it, what jumped out to you about the mistakes made Saturday night?

DJ Durkin (4:35)

Yeah, I think, I talked to the guys today about playing with emotion is good, but you can't be emotional in terms of, I think we were amped up in that game a lot and it led to some, I mean, basic mistakes and not typical, guys don't normally do that either. It was just, it's kind of felt crazy that way. I think a credit to Florida, they do a good job of bunch of different personnel groups and shifts and motions and give you formations a lot.
