Hello, everyone, and welcome in. It is ATP Weekly, but also a Wimbledon Preview. So a little bit of a half and half here, but we would be remiss to not mention Alejandro Davidovich Fokina grabbing his first ATP title, and Zizou Berg's also grabbing his first ATP title. So a weekend of made-in titles on the ATP Tour. So we'll quickly talk about that, and then we'll dive into some thoughts about Wimbledon, which starts in less than 24 hours. Super exciting. I'm Browner joined by Valdez and Amanda. Thanks for joining me, guys.
**Amanda** (2:59)
Thank you. Yeah, thanks for having us.
**Browner** (3:01)
For sure. So I think we've got to start with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
He was 0-5 going into Saturday's final because on both tours, but any time we have a tournament week before Slam, we like to finish it on Saturday. But that actually wasn't the case for Eastbourne because they were able to complete the women's final on Saturday, but they started the men's final. It got rained out just three games in, so they actually had to finish this morning. And funny enough, it'll be Ugo Umber and Zizoubergs playing each other in 48 hours later, just a different ground. But anyway, going back to Mallorca, Davidovich Fokina, he gets the monkey off his back, gets his first title. And I don't know, did you guys see the celebration?
**Amanda** (3:58)
Yeah, I did. He kind of like after match point, he just kind of walked to the net. And then after he shook hands with Ethan Quinn, he seemed very, very excited. But I was surprised when I saw that initial reaction.
**Valdez** (4:11)
I mean, when you, when you've had such a harrowing journey, it could always like, you almost don't have the emotions to give. But he did yell, as Amanda said, like once he walked to the net, it seemed very low key and chill. And then he sort of yelled and screamed and exhaled and let all the angst out. But very, very pleased for him because it was getting scary, scary for his career and overall mentality on the tour.
**Browner** (4:39)
Yeah, I mean, I agree with you guys because I was like, wow, I thought we were going to get fall to the ground, his knees and, you know, just like praise God or something like that. But he made his way, shook hands with Ethan Quinn, and then let out, you know, a big scream, probably a lot of relief. And what other other emotions come from that? But it was actually an interesting final. You know, Fokina served for the first set and got broken. They ended up going to a tie break and he was able to get that. And then, you know, back and forth in the second, and then kind of got a swing of momentum there, got the break, and found his self in, like, kind of winning position.
