I think it was always late August. It was like 20 something would be the first day of school.

See, that's just too early. That's brutal also, man. That's putting the kids in there. I bet back then there weren't that many air conditioners in classrooms either. So gross, just sweaty teens dunking it up.

I remember it being nasty, especially in high school, but it's California, so air conditioning culture was just not as big of a thing. The school wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely not well ventilated.

I think my kids mostly have air conditioners in the classrooms now. Fancy, look at these fancy kids.

Well, you need them here, because the humidity, you don't want damp children running around in addition to hot children. That's no good.

Anyway, look, big announcement here is I have fully transitioned over to Kagi on my phone now and on my browser.
I forced my wife to get a family subscription, so I don't have to pay for it. This is what we need to do. You force someone you love to get the subscription, and then they have a duo's subscription. I was like, the math doesn't really work out, and this, that, and the other thing. Then I just kept pestering her about it. I was like, I'll see how it goes. I kept pestering her about it, and she was like, here's your code.

So yeah, it's a little weirder on the iOS level, where you have to download an extension, like an app that's an extension. You can't just, I guess, redirect very easily, or at least I couldn't Safari to use a different search, or at least to use this search. For what else, though?

Pretty good. I didn't realize they meter your searches even on the lowest paid plan.

Yeah. Like the $5 a month plan, you still have a limited, it's like 300 searches.

Which is a decent amount unless you go on a tear, is what. And my wife did hit it because she was, she, for her work, sometimes has to do one of those things where you're just, you're just searching for the answer to a problem.
Like, hey, what is, like, Shopify? Why doesn't this button work? I need to just keep looking stuff up for a bunch of stuff. So she was hitting the upper limit. I instead, who I guess I'm just an internet doofus and doesn't search that much, on the trial was lasting months. I still had like 30 free searches to go. And I was like, I just don't really, I know everything. I just don't search.
