College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Wanna make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Ooh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 in 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for the stay.

Michael Zuber (0:31)

All righty, folks, I know a lot of you out there believe a housing crash is coming, and you are sitting on the sidelines patiently waiting. We don't need to debate whether a housing crash is coming or not, because I think you know where both Jason and I stand. But I do want you to know that if you believe a housing crash is coming at some time in the future, you could do something today, yes, today, to make that housing crash happen. We're going to first start with that conversation, and then we're going to transition into understanding how that simple fact applied to what Alex Hormozi says are the four types of luck.

It's how you can get rich and wealthy. So we're going to jam a lot inside this 20 minutes. Jason, how are you doing, buddy?

Jason (1:14)

Good. Good to see you, Michael.

Michael Zuber (1:17)

Yeah, and you have no idea what's coming, because I don't prep my guests, so you're a little bit of a shock.

Jason (1:22)

You're going to surprise me with whatever you have in mind, because I did not hear Hormozi talk about that. I have a feeling, and I'll just take a guess here, but with the creating your own housing crash, I'll mention two things about that that might tee up the discussion. Number one, our internal reality creates our external reality. That has been proven for thousands of years. There are zillions of very profound writings and thought leaders on that topic. And the other thing kind of related to that is there was an old sleepy senator from California, imagine that, named SI. Hayakawa, and he wrote a book about the self-fulfilling prophecy. And he brilliantly described it. He said, the self-fulfilling prophecy is something that is neither true or false, but it is capable of becoming true if it is believed.

That's profound. I mean, really, you know, think about that in, everybody needs to think about that in every part of their lives. What we believe creates reality.

Is that what you're doing with us?

Michael Zuber (2:41)

Kind of, kind of. So I love the way you work. And first off, you're an avid reader, so shout out to you for pulling those gems. I'd never even heard of that kind, so shout out.

Jason (2:51)

Yeah, it's old, it's old vintage stuff. Yeah.

Michael Zuber (2:53)

There you go. Well, this comes about, because again, obviously, I've been the anti-crash guy, as you have for years. But the reality is, the Doomer's, the Melody Wrong, the Nick Gurley's, the Adam Taggart's, all those ilk have gotten people convinced a housing crash is coming. So I was asked the other day inside my school community, Michael, my brother believes a housing crash is coming, and he's not gonna do anything. He has the credit, he has the down payment, but he isn't doing anything. What should I do? And I really had to think about it for a moment, but this is what I've come up with. Again, if you believe with every five year of your body, a housing crash is coming, this is what I would tell them to do. I would say, okay, Mark, we'll just say his name's Mark.

Mark, what do you think's coming in your market? And Mark goes, 20% crash, easy.

Jason (3:42)

Wow, so meaning prices will go down by 20%.

That's what Mark believes. That is a staggering prediction. But it's not as staggering as Melody Wrong, who says 50%.

Michael Zuber (3:53)

Exactly, exactly. At least it's conservative, 20%. So this is what I would tell Mark if he was my brother. I say, okay, great, Mark. Why don't you act like the housing crash is here today? And Mark's probably going to look at me cross-eyed and go, what the hell do you mean?

Well, I would say, Mark, what is the average purchase price? What's the median home price in your market? And he'll say 300 Again, I'm making this all up. You do your own math, people. And I would say, Mark, let's create your housing crash today.

What do you mean? Well, pull up the median home prices in your market, $300,000. And I want you to write offers at 240k or less.
