Who's more likely to go 0-2? The Saints playing against the Baltimore Ravens, the Commanders playing at the Dallas Cowboys or the Colts playing at the Kansas City Chiefs?

Chris McMonigle (0:50)

Saints.

Craig Carton (0:51)

Saints at Baltimore. That's the most likely to go 0-2. Because Baltimore are pretty damn good against the Colts in week one, didn't they?

Chris McMonigle (0:55)

I think if the number is 8.5, I would probably take the points as far as betting, but winning, yeah.

Craig Carton (1:01)

Okay. Which team is more likely to start the season off 2-0?

The Bengals at the Texans, the Vikings at the Bears, or the Jaguars at the Broncos?

Chris McMonigle (1:28)

Tough, real good.

Craig Carton (1:30)

I would say the Jaguars.

Chris McMonigle (1:31)

Yeah, I think it's the Jags. I want to say the Vikings.

Craig Carton (1:34)

Broncos couldn't tackle a cold in that week-long loss.

Chris McMonigle (1:36)

I do think they're going to bounce back, and I watched a little bit of the Jaguars game against the Browns a little bit.

Craig Carton (1:44)

Yeah, hard to judge them because the Browns are so bad, but go ahead.

Chris McMonigle (1:47)

Trevor Lawrence was perfect in the first half.

Craig Carton (1:51)

He's a good quarterback.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

He was perfect.

Craig Carton (1:55)

He just doesn't have playoff success.

Chris McMonigle (1:56)

He put balls in spaces that I don't know if two footballs could have fit through. He just was on his game, playing incredibly well, and it showed. I mean, they blew him out. I'm not saying they needed that to win the game, but I don't know if I love him. I don't know how many more performances like that he's going to have. I thought he was perfect.

Craig Carton (2:16)

You think he's a top 10 quarterback?

Chris McMonigle (2:17)

I don't, no. I do not think he's a top 10 quarterback.

Craig Carton (2:20)

I think he's probably about 10th. Yeah. He's not much lower than that.

Chris McMonigle (2:25)

And I think the Broncos are going to bounce back. They can't be that bad defensively. They missed so many freaking tackles.

Craig Carton (2:31)

It's like they didn't want to tackle anybody, to be fair.

Chris McMonigle (2:34)

But the Minnesota Bears game is really interesting.

Craig Carton (2:39)

Yeah, because the Bears are trying to make a point this year. They're trying to blow everybody out.

Chris McMonigle (2:42)

They're just trying to score as many points as possible. Defensively, I don't love them.

Carolina still put up points.

Craig Carton (2:47)

Carolina scored 30 against them.

Chris McMonigle (2:49)

And again, when you get into those kinds of games, it's hard to judge, but their defense sucks. And I like, even with the quarterback situation being Carson Wentz, I really, I kind of like the Vikings this year in that time.

Craig Carton (3:02)

You do? Really?

Chris McMonigle (3:03)

Yeah, I kind of do. I mean, with Carson Wentz, they just beat the Packers.

Craig Carton (3:06)

I know, but to me, that's an anomaly. Carson Wentz being the starter now to start off a game. No, I agree. I think Chicago beats them by 30

Chris McMonigle (3:14)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (3:15)

No disrespect to Carson Wentz. Good for him. He played well. Yeah. But you're not playing the Green Bay Packers. You're playing the Bears. The Bears might be the best offense in football outside of the Bills.

Chris McMonigle (3:26)

No, it might be the best. Without question, it might be one of the best offenses in the history of the game.

Craig Carton (3:31)

Well, it's one game in. I know that's what Ben Johnson wants.

He wants to be the best offense in the history of the sport. And they started off with 59 points, but that ain't going to be in every week.

Chris McMonigle (3:40)

And Flores loves to blitz so much. It's very interesting. I saw a stat today.

Ben Johnson's 5-1 against Brian Flores' defenses.

Craig Carton (3:48)

Is that right?

Chris McMonigle (3:49)

As head coach and offensive coordinator. So he does a really good job against Flores' defenses.

Craig Carton (3:54)

I'll tell you something else about Ben Johnson. The Lions miss him.

I'll tell you that right now.
