All right, everyone, welcome back to Empire. Very excited about this one. We got Santi. I think Rob is going to join us a little bit. We got a friend of the pod, Jordi Alexander from Selene. Jordi, what's happening?
**Jordi Alexander** (0:36)
How are you guys doing? What an exciting time to be alive.
**Jason Yanowitz** (0:40)
What an exciting time.
**Santiago Roel** (0:42)
Truly is, man. You know, we are recording this on the back of the FOMC meeting yesterday. You're our macro guy. I mean, none of us here are macro guys. So Jordi, what's going on through your mind?
**Jason Yanowitz** (0:54)
We're not going to talk about the most exciting thing, which is that the Knicks won the World Cup. New York is electric right now, but I guess you guys aren't here. So that's all right.
**Santiago Roel** (1:04)
Listen, man, I don't know about you guys. I've been getting roasted at the time, because I said the US has a pretty big chance of winning the World Cup. And this is like the, you know, we've talked about like how crypto bros are more skeptical about crypto and like non-crypto people are like excited to be in the industry.
**Jason Yanowitz** (1:21)
It's like US people are like, the US will never win. Yeah.
**Santiago Roel** (1:24)
Man, I'm Mexican. I'm like, Mexico will never win the World Cup. It's just like structurally, like they just will never. But the US, dude, long US, if they don't win this World Cup, they'll get pretty far. And the polymarket is like 2%.
I think that is, in my opinion, a bit, I will. I was with the guy yesterday who claims to be like a big football guy. I was like, what are the odds of the US going to the semifinal? He's like, I'll give you 20 to 1, 10 to 1 I'm like, all right. And then I went with size and he's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's a good skill.
**Jordi Alexander** (1:58)
I'm sure you can find the public odds pretty comfortably and get size if you want.
I don't know, I can't see it. That would be a dream too far. But you never know. I mean, even in 94, I remember when I was a kid, they had the World Cup and they did quite well. Comparatively, you know, for how little.
**Jason Yanowitz** (2:19)
Comparatively. Jordi, where are you from? What's your team?
**Jordi Alexander** (2:22)
Who is my team? You know, I was a big messy guy, but now that he's won a chip, I'm not as emotionally invested in him getting another note.
**Jason Yanowitz** (2:30)
You're an underdog kind of guy.
**Jordi Alexander** (2:32)
Yeah. If he wins it again, I'll be happy. He's my favorite player, which is cliché now that he's clearly the goat. But doing what he's doing at 39, I mean, I'm 41
I'm also trying to extend my health span and my athletic abilities into my 40s, as he is doing. So maybe I'm still cheering for Argentina. I want the old guy to show that 40 is the new 30 We can still get it done.
**Santiago Roel** (3:02)
I just did my... Cristiano Ronaldo is 41 He's playing pretty good. But he has like an insane health regime. But Jordi, I know you've been long in the longevity track. Did you see the, what is it? My journey today or yesterday announced mid-journey.
I think like, I don't know if you've been following like just what's, it feels like it's the next leg of advancements.
**Jason Yanowitz** (3:29)
I'm now very long Eli Lilly, because I just think that I think basically my prediction on this stuff is that the only way to turn public sentiment on AI, because we're going into the midterms right in the US, and there's going to be so much hate towards data centers that the, you know, Anthropic and OpenAI have to, I don't know if you guys saw, I think it was Sundar got booed or there was a walkout. I think it was Sundar did a commencement speech at Google at Stanford, and the students walked out on the guy. So the amount of hate towards AI right now is, it's not even close to an all time high because that'll be around the midterms when the politicians have to be anti data centers. But I think the only way back that they come out of this is to convince the public that it is making everyone healthier.
