Let's try to sneak in just a little bit more technology education. What do you say? No? Well, I don't know what to tell you. I'm gonna give you a little bit more technology education. So anyways, I'm creating a class on MCP servers, Model Context Protocol Servers, that I will take in Baltimore, Maryland when we do the free hands-on technology classes there. And I've been playing today with MCP resources. So there's MCP tools, basically that's functions that allow you to do things dynamically. And then there's MCP resources. Basically, what this is is read-only files. So I created this MCP server here. I had Claude come up with a poem about a snail and a little boat. And basically, what I'm able to do is if I go over to Claude. So this is Claude actually installed on my computer. And one of the cool things here is if you click on plus, I can go to connectors, and I can actually add my little snail with a boat resource from that MCP server. And so basically, what I can do is I can go here, and I can say things like, what did the turtle say, question mark. And then it's actually going to be answering me from the MCP server, not from what it knows from the Internet or whatever else. The turtle muttered, well, I declare, while the minnows gossipped in their schools. I can say, what color is the boat?
The boat is blue. The title calls it the little blue boat. And the first line says, the snail found a boat of blue.
Where did the snail go?
The snail pushed off from the pond's edge at dawn and drifted across the water on the morning tide. So anyways, this is kind of cool. Basically, with what these resources allow you to do, you can actually dynamically create these resources. So imagine you're trying to pull together information from human resources. So let's say people need to ask questions about what the vacation policy is, right? And so you don't simply want to give them a PDF or whatever to search through, you want something that they're actually able to ask questions from. See, what's cool here, right, is you can actually have, for this resource, you can have a script that would dynamically pull in information from a database on all of the different policies for vacation, right? That gets pulled in, that is then turned into a read-only resource that your AI tool is able to use, and then you can say, if I've been at the company for three years, how many vacation days do I get per year? Or how many sick days do I get? Or blah, blah, blah. And then it gives the people an interactive way that they can then ask questions from things like human resources documents. And so that's why things like MCP tools are cool. That's why AI is actually cool. It's actually cool. It's actually useful. It's probably not worth $2 trillion, but there's value there. There's value, but you're not here. You're not here for MCP.

So Eli, we're not here for MCP service.
Eli the Computer Guy (3:17)
We're here. We're here for screaming. We are here for screaming.
That's what I get from the viewers.
SPEAKER_2 (3:23)
Like Eli, you used to be so much nicer.
Eli the Computer Guy (3:26)
You used to smile all the time, and you used to be happy. What happened to you? It's like, cause I used to do videos about actual technology. Nobody wants to see videos on actual technology anymore. So now I have to talk about whatever the fuck is going on in the AI world. I think about it sometimes. I do these interviews every week with Isaac. Oh, sometimes I just get a headache. Sometimes it's like, Isaac, can we talk about technology?
Dear Isaac, can we talk about the orchestration layer, please? It's actually really cool. You don't know Isaac. You don't know Isaac behind the camera. He's like, geek!
We're not going to talk about the orchestration layer. Nobody gives a fuck about the orchestration layer.
SPEAKER_2 (4:14)
Eli, geek!
Eli the Computer Guy (4:15)
Geek! You're going to talk about AI valuations.
SPEAKER_2 (4:19)
I'm sorry, Isaac, I'm sorry.
Eli the Computer Guy (4:23)
Anyways, but it is true. Have you seen his channel? Holy fuck, his channel is taking off. He is doing good. Isaac, again, I cannot snark on that. Isaac is doing wonderfully.
Oh, Lordy. Anyways, that's why I sit here. That's why I sit here and I talk about whatever this is. I don't know whatever the fuck this is, because it's what you want to see. It's what you want to see. Anyways, coming from Reuters, Anthropix, $518 billion AI buildout hinges largely on deals that cannot be canceled filing shows. And this is my concern in the business world, because again, one of the reasons I'm being a smartass and showing you some of this MCP stuff, one of the reasons there's gonna be more of those little snippets in these videos, is I actually want you to start understanding what this technology is. The big problem that we have right now is that when people look at artificial intelligence, basically they think of 1980s science fiction movies, and then they extrapolate from 1980s science fiction movies. Well, if you saw Wargames, and then you imagine things 40 years later, oh my god! And it's like, dude, Wargames was not a very, I saw Wargames in the theater, it wasn't good in the 1980s. It was like Tron. I fucking saw Tron in the theater. I was a kid of the 1980s, Tron bored me to fucking tears.
