Yeah, he had a bad day yesterday for sure. Like it's a rough day for him. I feel for him. I truly do. And I'm not trying to kill him. I'm not trying to pound on him. I'm not trying to double down on his misery. I'm just telling you, watching the game, if it felt different at shortstop, it just did a little bit. It just did.

The reality is that that is such an overreaction.

And then it's like, God forbid this kid does make an error, which he's going to, obviously. It's the nature of the business. Or he goes a week without a hit, which is going to happen at some point. Then it's going to be what? We went from the debut where even the great Paul O'Neill, you're right, is saying, we haven't seen shortstop play like that in a long time.

I think within one game, you are able to have an idea of what kind of defensive player he is. And I can just tell you, it looked smoother than we have seen either Caballero or Volpe play.
