You know, it's hard to get politicians to agree on anything these days, but there's one issue with strong bipartisan support, keeping AM Radio in new cars. You hear about this initiative? So, a couple of years ago, automakers have been trying to phase out AM Radio, possibly for space, but mostly to be cheap. You know, an AM Radio adds less than one-tenth of one percent to the cost of buying a typical new car. But I guess it adds up when you're making millions of cars. So, you know, some companies like Tesla and Volkswagen and Volvo have been, you know, Nixon AM Radios from electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids because EV motors can affect the sound, making it sound like a hairdryer is on.

That AM signal is weird.

SPEAKER_1 (2:19)

Yeah.

Riz (2:20)

But legislation is working its way through Congress that would require all new cars to have AM Radio.

Moon (2:26)

Yeah. I wonder if that's something they just say, you know, because they got some sort of deals with other people.

Riz (2:35)

Or like Volkswagen and Volvo and Tesla?

Moon (2:37)

Yeah. That sounds like cover.

Riz (2:42)

I don't know, but backers say it's critical to guaranteeing all Americans still have a way to access emergency information, among other things.

Moon (2:48)

Yeah, I like it. I think it should stay.

Riz (2:50)

I think it should stay too. Congress has been kicking around radio-related bills for years, but right now experts say there's overwhelming support from both sides of the aisle. It's already passed in the House. It's expected to cruise through the Senate by the end of the year. Listen, AM Radio is still used by more than 4,000 stations across the country, and that includes sports, and that includes talk radio, as well as religious programming, and foreign language news, foreign language sports and music.

82 million Americans listen to AM Radio on the regular.

Lern (3:23)

Wild.

Riz (3:25)

So just say, listen, something common ground, but you all could agree on that. AM Radio should not disappear from cars. So that's gonna pass on through. All right, let's do Crap on.

SPEAKER_6 (3:34)

The Rizzuto Show, Crap on Celebrities.

Riz (3:37)

All right, time to find out what's going on in the world of music and entertainment with your Crap on Celebrities.

Lern (3:40)

And we begin with this. Sean Diddy Combs reportedly had a middle of the night trip to the hospital from federal prison in New Jersey. According to the report, Combs was taken to a local hospital around 1 a.m. on Saturday, suffering a head injury.

He reportedly remained conscious, was able to speak, received treatment, was back at prison before 7 a.m. And so he is still serving that 50-month sentence following the 2025 conviction of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The reports also allege that he was using commensary funds to get other inmates to perform personal chores like massages, cleaning his shower, et cetera. Prison officials reportedly confiscated some contraband cell phones, a tablet, and took away 41 days of good conduct credit.

Riz (4:20)

Right, so they keep pushing the date he's getting released up? But didn't they push it back again?

Lern (4:25)

They did. So now I believe they added that 41 days. So his reported release date is March 2028, as of right now.

Riz (4:32)

March of 2028

Lern (4:34)

Yeah.

Rafe (4:34)

Can you imagine being at a prison and the guy's like, I'll give you 17 doughnuts and four packs of ramen noodles, but you got to rub my, you got to rub my feet. He's getting massages from other inmates.
