Welcome to Two Sixteen, A Link to the Past Randomizer Podcast. I am Jesse Munoz, also known as Fear Agent. If this is your first time listening to Two Sixteen, welcome. If you're a long-time listener, you might be going, I thought the show ended, what is this? Well, it's back. Show's back. Maybe not in the form that it was in the past, but, you know, I miss talking to people. That's basically all it came down to is, I missed chatting with the people in the community. It's a new year, new theme song, and I feel like I've grown a lot in the last year. 2024 was a really good year for me. I turned 43, and I think I finally grew up. I learned a lot about myself in the last year, and I want to say I've calmed down, if anything. Gamma won the main tournament, and I thought it would be a good time to chat with him. I haven't really had a chance to talk with him in a while, so I thought this would be a good opportunity. I ended the show completely because my hosting was up, and I didn't really want to pay for it, and I hated asking people to chip in and pay for the show, or ask for money, or any of that stuff. That stuff's all gone away. If you want to give money to me, I'm open for it. But let's talk about the future of Two Sixteen. So brand new feed. If you were subscribed to the old feed, that's gone. My hosting service there is over. I don't have that. I did start a new podcast, though. The Movies I Miss Podcast with my friend Ryan Miller, which you can find at moviesimiss.com, where we pick a year and then go over movies that he and I missed that came out that year. So the first season we did 1999 The full season's out. You can listen to all 11 episodes, again, over at moviesimiss.com. So I did that podcast back with my old podcasting buddy, and I had a blast doing that, and we're gearing up for season two here shortly. But with my new host, I found out that I can host multiple podcasts, and this server's not going anywhere for a while. Like, I've got it for, let's just say, I'm not worried about the show going away anytime soon, because I've got MoviesIMiss hosted here, and now I've brought Two Sixteen on another fold. I re-uploaded all of the episodes of Two Sixteen. So Two Sixteen is now available on this feed, all of the past episodes, you can go back and listen. I did upload them to the YouTube channel, my Fear Agent YouTube channel, so they're there and they're not going anywhere. The new episodes will also be uploaded to that YouTube page as well. If you want, I think you can actually subscribe to podcasts on YouTube now. I think I've got a better perspective on things as well. I think I wanted Two Sixteen to grow bigger, or had ambitions for it to be bigger than it possibly could be.
The community of Rando is around 150 to 300 people at any given time. And I was averaging a good 150 downloads and I wanted more, I wanted more. But that's unreasonable to ask for a very niche, very specific podcast. And I think I've got a better perspective of that. So my goals of Two Sixteen have changed and it's not going to be weekly. Like I was trying to put out seasons and try to create something, I don't know, I don't know exactly what it was looking back now. But for now, I just, I'm going to have the feed available. And if I want to talk to someone, I'll throw it up there and you can listen and you could subscribe wherever you get your podcasts or not. And I'll just keep creating them when I feel like creating them. So I think going forward will be perpetually in season six. I don't think I'm going to break the seasons up anymore. I think from now on, we're just going to be in season six and we'll see where it goes. I've also learned, and it's taken me 40 years to learn this. Never say never. You just never know what's going to happen or what's going to change or what you're going to miss. So while I fully intended to end Two Sixteen, again, a lot had to do with like the hosting and then where I was with the game. None of that wasn't true. Things have just changed. I missed it. I watched a lot of the stuff from SGL in 2024, and I missed being a part of the community. There's things about racing that I don't miss, but honestly, I just missed the community. I missed that aspect of it. So here we are back with Two Sixteen. A lot's happened in the last six months. I don't really know what has happened.
