All coins in the AI-powered boom. Here it is in one breath. AI agents are about to become a brand new type of customer. Real world assets are moving on chain for them to use, and DeFi is the machinery that serves them both. If this fully plays out, the real winners won't just be the projects that people use. They're gonna be tokens where all that activity actually turns into hardcore revenue, and that revenue finally reaches the token holders' hands. In today's video, we're gonna talk about how this convergence could actually grow the entire market, and which businesses could capture the most of it. This series kicks off with a report that a lot of people are talking about from Citrini Research, which is published, Breaking the Wall, Public Introduction. They paint a picture that your AI agent has access to your finances, and you tell it, Claude, find me the cheapest 500k loan, and refinance me into it. The argument goes like this, our financial system is slow, fragmented, and gate-kept. Agents, on the other hand, work 24-7 across the apps, and at the same time, stocks, treasuries, and credit are being tokenized and brought on chain, you have yourself the making of a perfect storm. As these two worlds collide, you're left with a moment where blockchains have finally found their raison d'etre. This is their true real-world kill or use case coming into fruition. Blockchain has gone through many adaptive identity crises, as we can see them with NFTs, smart contracts as a structural integrity point, and a lot of things crypto has made over the past few years. They're useful, but there doesn't seem to be anything bigger than the massive amount of capital ready and waiting to come into the tokenized stock sector.
One of the most important highlights in this report is a mention of exactly this.
Question for investors isn't simply whether more assets become tokenized, it's where those economics accrue. And Cetrini's 15-token crypto basket chart is also out in the public. Look at the column header, target weight, and the proposed allocation. It's not a list that anyone owns. The full basket is in the show notes. From here on, this is our own independent analysis, and we're taking Cetrini's question. Where do the economics actually accrue? And answer it for ourselves from primary sources. And here's the mental exercise us as investors are facing down right now. The mental model of three different layers. We have AI supplying users. The AI agents don't sleep, don't care about clunky crypto apps, and can continuously compare your opportunities across markets without an easy-to-use interface. And then you have tokenization supplying the actual asset, the treasuries, the stocks, and the credit.
In the form of software that can actually move with velocity. DeFi supplies the services, the lending, the trading, and the yield. DeFi comes in to supply the services, like lending, and trading, and yield, and that data keeps it honest in the crypto market. And then comes the big one, the money question. Every one of those services charges a basic fee. You follow that fee and find out, does it actually go to the users, to a company, or into a DAO treasury?
Or does it actually ever reach the token? There's a difference between a great product and a great token. And you have to ask yourself, is the value proposition for any of these altcoins actually there yet? And the early numbers say yes. X402, an open payment standard, builds a software-can-pay software, reported more than 75 million transactions over a 30-day window in its August snapshot. And that's actually measuring payment activity and not unique AI agents, but it shows software-native payment infrastructures getting used and growing. And just two days after the Clarity Act fell short in the Senate, the SEC issued its temporary innovation exemption for trading tokenized stocks and permission venues. The protections in this are limited, yes, but the wall around what's blocked crypto from taking over the world of finance is beginning to crack. And speaking of walls and structural integrity, let me make this very concrete. You picture a workflow, a hypothetical workflow. Rather than one verified end-to-end integration, your agent sees idle dollars sitting in your wallet. It pays for just a few cents of chainlink for a price check. It compares variable lending on Aave with fixed yields and those opportunities on things like Pendle. Weighing the maturity and the risk alongside the rate of return, you also hold some Ethereum so it hedges that price risk on hyperliquid. Across the board, there are so many useful tools for these AI agents to take advantage of. The ground is ripe for taking on this AI agent monetary takeover, but there will be a battle along the way against the infrastructure of banking that currently exists. These agents will be able to check positions and prices every single night, and you sign off on the big moves, what it makes inside the portfolio.
