Mackenzie Shirilla killed two young men.   A lot of people, including the courts believe that a part of Mackenzie’s motive was her longterm, hostile relationship with Dominic that he, supposedly, wanted out of.   Mackenzie and her parents deny any intent at all.

I don't think we've ever posted an episode like this. It's going to be very different. This is a standalone episode on Jess Mackenzie-Sharilla and Dominic Russo's 30,000 pages of text messages detailing their relationship from 2020 all the way up until July 31st, 2022, when Mackenzie kills Dom and Davion in a car crash. A lot of people, including the courts, believe that Mackenzie killed Dom and Davion because she had a hostile relationship with Dom. She felt like he was going to break up with her soon. So she, in a fit of rage, anger, whatever intensified emotion she felt in that car, she crashes the car straight into the building. Mackenzie and her parents, they deny that this is what happened. In fact, they go as far to allege that Mackenzie and Dom's relationship wasn't perfect. Sure, but it wasn't that bad. Mackenzie's dad, Steve, says, The word toxic has been thrown around a lot. I didn't see the toxic relationship that everybody's saying, oh, it was toxic, this is a toxic relationship. They argued. I argue with my wife. You know, everybody argues, okay? From what I knew, it wasn't toxic. They argued, they broke up. He's over the next day with flowers and candy and a stuffed animal. I mean, it was like every couple of months something would happen. And my wife was helping them try to fix the relationship and they were never breaking up.
Anybody who is saying that is lying. And I don't care if it's hurtful, they were not breaking up. They may break up, but they were getting right back together. Again, they were not breaking up. For anyone who says they were breaking up, it is a lie, a baseless lie, a narrative from the prosecution. But who's telling the truth here? Because of that, naturally people want to analyze their text messages. I've seen people try to use AI to try to scan through these 30,000 pages or they'll pick out a few messages here and there. And hopefully, this episode feels a bit more exhaustive as we went through all 30,000 pages, like human. This was just us sitting there on the dining room table for hours on end, days on end. This is a chronological recounting of their fights in the messages. It's not going to be in the usual RM fashion where we try to go through all these different sources and compile a comprehensive overview of an event. I'm literally just going to walk you through what I read in the messages. It's going to be frustrating, infuriating and exhausting. I'm just going to give you a heads up right now. Like I lost my mind in those messages. The amount of fights they got into that doesn't even make sense.
I'm just going to give you an example of like how frustrating it's going to be. Dom buys a pair of $300 shorts for Mackenzie.
Is she grateful? No, she's not because she had to order it herself. He gave her the money. She ordered it on her card, but he sent her the money.
So like he paid for it. Okay, all she did was like put in the address and stuff. But she's like, no, you didn't buy me the shorts.
