There's only main character energy here. Now let's get into it.
Welcome to episode 810, alignment doesn't always feel aligned at first. Sometimes it feels like loss. Alignment doesn't always feel aligned at first. Sometimes it feels like loss. You ever pray for something, and then all of a sudden it's removed. And maybe it was the thing you weren't expecting to have removed at all. In fact, you weren't even thinking that was even a possibility. You were just like, wait, no, no, no, no, no, no, not that. And God's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that. And you're like, no, no, no, no, like when I asked for alignment, when I asked for abundance or when I asked for your next steps or when I asked for clarity, I wasn't expecting to take that. And it's like, no, I know.
But you asked, so I did what I know I needed to do. And that can hit you hard. It can feel like loss.
And depending on how long we sometimes wait to ask for God or for, you know, the next step to appear, we could be holding onto something tightly for a long time that maybe we weren't even supposed to.
And alignment also comes with a lot of rearranging. It's like, oh yeah, okay, I'm going to move these things out. These other things need to come in. We need space. This job needs to be taken from you. This location needs to be, you know, reworked. This environment's going to shift. That's a lot. I hear it from, you know, people all the time. They're like, I mean, there's so much moving right now. There's so much like changing. And I was like, yeah, I know a lot of refinement and alignment happening at the same time, such as since, you know, the more conscious we are about it, the more we're praying about it and more we're connected to God about it. Yeah, you're going to see some things move. And that can feel like loss.
Right. Sometimes a season that's rearranging everything might be the most aligned thing that's ever happened to you, but it might feel like loss in that moment. So in this episode, let's talk about why the beginning of alignment almost always feels like something is falling apart. And I know that when it happens, it's so easy to be like, I can't do this. No. And it's like, let's go.
It is such a practice. I know. I get it. I want to say that it's easy. At first, it's not. Well, some people it might be. I don't want to also paint a picture that, you know, that's just my perspective. I'm like, letting go in certain places was not easy because it hurts. It can feel like it hurts. It can feel real. It can feel like you're losing something. It could feel like, okay, now we're moving into uncertainty and what's going to happen now. And, you know, by the way, it's one thing when things that are causing you a lot of strife are removed from you. It is another thing when things are seemingly really good and those are removed. I think those are harder. Maybe you have like good friendships, good relationships, like a good relationship that God's like, you two aren't really for each other, and, you know, I love you both, so this is going to sting. Or maybe you like your job a lot, and you didn't even see the fact that you were about to get fired, you know what I mean, or let go, or for whatever reason, maybe it's just no longer needed or whatever it might be. And you're like, wait, what? That? Like, I'm really good at what I do with that. God's like, yeah, I want you to do that really good somewhere else. So it can really feel like everything's falling apart, but it's not. Perspective. And it feels like it. Let's just honor that too, right? All right. The second thing I want to talk about is how loss and alignment share the same entry point and why that confuses people, which is really kind of what I was just saying. It's funny, right? Like loss and alignment can be in the same area. Like, oh, like I want the next steps for what I do with my work. Cool. I'm going to remove this project to remove these people. Like, no, no, no, no, no. Like I said, I want the next steps. And God's like, yeah, yeah. That's going to be these things over here and these people. Like, wait, what are you doing? God's like, my job. I created you.
