Back in your life on this Tuesday, June 9th, 2000

And 26, hello again, everyone. I sure hope you're doing well. The sun has risen here in the greatest city in the world. I am here, no problem.

Head held high, chin up. All good, all good. Peace and love, peace and love. What a night I had, my friends, and I do want to tell you all about it, because I actually do think that UFC fans, MMA fans would be interested in my experience. Not talking about the game itself, which by now you know what transpired, and it was tough to stomach, but there were some silver linings and some great memories made. So we will get into all of that and more. Have no fear, have no fear. I know there's a whole bunch of you that love to see me wallow in my misery and are rooting for my demise. I know all about it, I feel it, I sense it, and I'm here to say that we are not dead. We are not dead just yet, but we do have a phenomenal show as we inch closer to the UFC White House card, oh boy, oh boy, is everyone ready with their hot takes. I do want to remind people for the one millionth time that we have been talking about this very card for 11 months, and we have been talking about the mixing of politics and UFC slash MMA in large part, but in particular with the UFC for, I don't know, going on six years now since UFC 244 We're not new to this, so just because you happen to see a two-minute clip online, it doesn't mean that that is the totality of our coverage. We've been talking about this ad nauseum. That's part of the reason why I can't wait for June 15th, and I've been saying that for what, the better part of six, seven, eight months.

In any event, we're getting closer. It is real. It is happening, and I'm looking forward to breaking it all down. So back into the program, we are going to be joined by, I don't even know the order of things here. That's how, that's how meshugas I am right now, guys. Back into the show, we're going to be joined by Katie Taylor. Katie Taylor is going to be joining us. No, we're not going to be joined by Katie Taylor. We're going to be joined by Alex Pereira. Alex Pereira, who is just days away now from fighting Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title. Alex Pereira on the show at around 3.3 Eastern Time. At 3 o'clock, we're going to be joined by Katie Taylor. You may have heard of her. She's getting a Croke Park send-off. What a great treat. She doesn't do a lot of these podcasts. She's doing a lot of media right now because they got to sell a lot of tickets, but it's always a special thing. When she joins us on the program, she'll be joining us at 3 o'clock to talk about that massive homecoming slash moment slash send-off on the 5th of September over at Croke Park in Dublin. Prior to that, one of my favorite New York Knicks players of all time, Steve Novak, number 16 Only played for the Knicks for two seasons, but he was a sharp shooter extraordinaire. Discount double-check, that 2013 team, 54 wins, 28 losses, Atlantic Division title. Look, I'll be honest, as I left the game yesterday, I was like, oh yeah, Steve Novak on the show. God, this sounded like a great idea when we were up 2-0, and I thought that maybe, maybe, maybe we can celebrate being up 3-0 on the Tuesday after the Monday game. But you know what? I actually feel like this is going to be a bit of a therapy session. He's a great guy. He's a great analyst.
