ALERT: Florida Is Daring Byrum Brown to Beat Them With His Arm | Auburn Podcast

The Auburn Express

September 18, 2026

Auburn football is preparing for Florida, and the Gators may already have a pretty clear idea of what they need to do against Byrum Brown: take away his legs and force him to beat them through the air. Can Florida actually pull it off?

This football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We Go V! Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 in 55 seconds. Hit it!

When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for The Stay.

Jägermeister knows that there's people who watch the game and people who know the game. Knowers know rivalries aren't heated.

They're ice cold. They know rankings change. Traditions don't. And they know that when you drink Jägermeister on game day, you drink it ice cold. Otherwise, you just don't know the game.

So drink it ice cold or don't drink it at all. Jägermeister, damn that's cold. Drink responsibly. Jägermeister liqueur, 35% alcohol by volume. Imported by Mass Jägermeister US, White Plains, New York.

And King, I mean, you know, you played in these games where you had a teammate go to another team, and there was a time where the SEC coaches used to make that almost an impossibility. If you were gonna leave us, we weren't going to another SEC school that we're gonna see the next year. I mean, now they can't really control it.

SPEAKER_8 (3:32)

It is wild that this happens, and King, you're from the same exact era that I was in college that my husband played. I can't, we had Trevor Etienne go from Florida to Georgia.

We had a linebacker go for, our linemen, excuse me, go from Florida to Florida State. That is something that makes my head explode. I literally could not imagine, and I think Auburn players have every right to have massive issue with the fact that Eric Singleton Jr. is on Florida's roster. I'm interested to see if he played. I was told tonight he's gonna be a game time decision that he will dress, and they're gonna just kind of see how he feels in warmups. I'm interested to see him play. Maybe this isn't the one you really want to come back for. I don't know, especially if you're not 100% healthy, but I think they have every right to be pissed. But this is my question, but are they? Because this generation of kids isn't like our generation of players. There's so many of them are mercenaries. So do they feel that hatred that we feel? And if they don't, damn it, I want their coaches to make them.

Ike Jones (4:42)

We had a basketball player a few years ago that got in front of a camera and said, you know, when we're not playing them, I root for those players. No way.

SPEAKER_1 (4:55)

Yeah, he did. He's a good guy. He's a good guy.

Ike Jones (4:57)

No, no.

But fans jumped all over him. And we were like, yeah, I'm not sure you get the essence of the rivalry if you're saying something like that, right? Like you can think, I get it. I get that the players have great respect for each other.
