We'll start with Bo Bonner who says, Cobb not getting 10 plus carries, four and eight incoming.

So you're saying they're only going to win one more game for the rest of the season with Arkansas and Sanford. That's a take that you are allowed to have, and I will leave it at that.

Mike G (3:18)

Sanford, that's the only other team they're going to beat?

Ike Jones (3:21)

Yeah.

Anthony Long jumps in and says, the QB run would be even more effective if the running game had more diversity. We rarely run the ball with our running backs on the perimeter, but when we do, good things happen. I agree with this state. I don't know that I could agree with this statement more than. Well, the biggest issue I see with the run game right now is, it is different schemes for essentially the same type of run, like it is between the tackles and I get it. You want to be a hard nose between the tackles downhill run team, but you aren't.

At some point in time, we have to figure out you aren't and be more creative with the ways in which you run the football, not have the pass be an extension of the run, but actual handoffs. Like the reason why that run works with Jeremiah Cobb at the end of the game is because it went to the outside number one and you still have the option of Byrum Brown to keep that and go downhill between the tackles. And the linebackers have to respect the fact that Brown might keep this. And if he gets downhill in the center here, he's going to run for a long time. So, you've got a speedy Jeremiah Cobb around the edge. And if he gets the edge, you see what he can do. Please do more things like that.

Mike G (4:42)

Yeah, I agree. I like the word diversity.

Ike Jones (4:47)

Yes.

Mike G (4:48)

When referring to the run game, Anthony, that's a great way of putting that. They need to mix it up. Like, you didn't like that. What's the first play from Scrimmage that toss sweep the Jeremiah Cobb?

Ike Jones (4:59)

I didn't like it. Okay, so, yes, I did not like it because it was after, I mean, on-site, it was after the kickoff. First play, you get to decide, like, it was scripted. First play, you get to decide where you want to line the football off, whether it's left hash, center, or right hash. They chose left hash, and then they run a toss sweep to the short side of the field.
