ALERT: Auburn Football Offensive Line Must Control Florida | Auburn Podcast

The Auburn Express

September 17, 2026

Auburn football is getting ready for Florida, and this SEC matchup could be decided in the place where Auburn has to prove itself the most: the line of scrimmage. The Tigers are 2 and 0, but there are still things that need to be cleaned up offensively. The biggest questions are up front.

Got my guy, Mike G, in here with me, talking a little Auburn versus Florida. We did not come unprepared to have someone else come and talk to us tonight, though.

Talking a little bit about this gang with us tonight, none other than the legendary offensive lineman, our guy, King Dunlap. Welcome, King Dunlap. Into the rapport once again. Been a while, man. Hopefully everything is well with you, brother.

King Dunlap (3:06)

Doing good, man. Appreciate y'all having me as usual. Sitting here, out of the crib, chilling. No volleyball tonight for baby girls, so. All right. Just...

You know, I may watch them catching up on some shows, and looking forward to talking to y'all, talking to this Florida game, man. You know, we got... It's time to get busy.

Ike Jones (3:23)

Yeah, it is time to get busy. For those of you who don't know, King is, they're a family of giants. Everybody is six six or taller in their family somehow.

Even on the other side, I don't even know how they pulled that off. But when you talk about baby girl playing volleyball, some really good volleyball player, did she, is she going to Vanderbilt?

King Dunlap (3:42)

She's at Vandy right now. They're undefeated, undefeated so far. They beat North Carolina the other day. So she's playing middle, you know, controlling the net. So love watching her play.

I get a chance to watch her, you know, I got to go all the home games now cause she's here. I'm not coaching. So I'm in Memorial Gym every chance I get to watch her play.

B Wil (4:04)

Okay. All right. You know, Vandy, whatever. No, congratulations to her for sure. Let's get in here and talk some football though, man. Auburn versus Florida this weekend.

First, just kind of, what are your thoughts on this Auburn offense specifically? Like how are you feeling like it's going so far? Have you had a chance to really dive into it?

King Dunlap (4:28)

I've seen enough to know. I know what I'm looking at. It's better efficiently, but just cleaning up the little things is the biggest thing, especially upfront. Obviously, minimizing the penalties. Got to minimize the pressure on the quarterbacks, got to minimize the sacks and be more efficient with our blocks at the first and second level.

So they found a way to win, which is obviously great in week one. You come out second game.

B Wil (4:55)

Every game day, you show up for your team.
