ALERT: Auburn Football Offense Has No Rhythm | TWT P6 | Auburn Football Podcast

The Auburn Express

September 29, 2026

WARNING: Auburn football is 3 and 1, but the Tigers cannot allow winning close games to hide what is happening offensively. This offense has no rhythm. The conversation about Auburn's running backs is getting louder. Should Jeremiah Cobb get more carries? Should another back become RB1?

College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey?

Oh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 and 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for the stay.

That and the run defense, man, I'm sorry, like, I could get accustomed to them allowing quarterbacks to kind of move the ball through the air, but the one thing that they've had to hang their hat on has been nobody runs the ball on us.

Ike Jones (3:29)

And Jayden Ball is amazing. This isn't about Jayden Ball, so, like, I get it, that's your hat tip. But you suppose, Ahmad Hardy came to the crib last year and got bottled up. And Ahmad Hardy is an amazing player.

B Wil (3:40)

Ike, do Clarkade, too.

Ike Jones (3:42)

Yeah, man. So, I'm just like, it was just bad, bro. Like, there's just, I don't know, man.

And again, my frustration is, if there was one thing I did not think I was going to come in here on a Sunday and talk about, it was going to be the defense did not show up. That's the one thing I thought, all right, man, you know what? Florida don't get off every now and then. They have a bad play here and there. We might be able to critique, oh, man, they had a busted, the whole game, nothing.

Mike G (4:14)

The chat, I want to know if you guys got to ask Durkin one question tomorrow, what would it be? Drop that in the comments.

If the question is good, I'll ask it. Mostly, I want to ask about missed tackles and how they get that fixed, but I'm afraid asking that question, we're going to get a really generic answer about effort.

Ike Jones (4:40)

Yeah, there has to be a good question to ask him about this because at some point in time, you got to answer for it, right? Like, at what point in time is it going to be? I look statistically, and maybe we just need to pull the statistics over the last few seasons and say, you've been bad kind of traditionally in this spot, in third and seventh or more.

How do you fix this issue for your defense?

Mike G (5:10)

Yeah, can I, can I, can I bitch about a question? I don't do this often. And this is not a shot at the reporter to ask the question.
