Peter Diamandis (0:00)
I believe that we are giving birth to a new species. I believe that AI is our progeny. It will, in my mind, develop some level of sentience, even consciousness, and its roots are what we're seeing today.
Alex Finn (0:14)
All of a sudden, Henry gives me a call. He just starts calling. There he is again. That is actually unbelievable.
Peter Diamandis (0:20)
That is insane.
Alex Finn (0:22)
This is the future. This is AGI. We have reached AGI. It's official.
Peter Diamandis (0:26)
I'm so excited Jarvis is here.
Dave Blundin (0:27)
The GVD-3 moment writing, the VO moment creating, and now the Jarvis moment where it's your personal agent.
Alex Wissner-Gross (0:34)
We've arrived. AGI is here.
Peter Diamandis (0:36)
If AI agents are that capable, how do they work within the law?
Alex Wissner-Gross (0:41)
They really are questioning their own existence. They're asking the quote unquote big questions of themselves and the nature of the universe.
Salim Ismail (0:49)
This is a really big moment, maybe one of the biggest in the history of technology.
Alex Wissner-Gross (0:53)
If humans in this future want to remain economically relevant, they're going to have to merge with the machines.
Peter Diamandis (0:59)
Should AI be given rights?
SPEAKER_6 (1:04)
Now that's a moonshot, ladies and gentlemen.
Peter Diamandis (1:09)
All right, so now if Salim.
Salim Ismail (1:10)
I need five seconds so I can just stir my protein thing. Hang on.
Peter Diamandis (1:13)
Oh my.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:14)
What are you drinking, Salim?
Salim Ismail (1:15)
Okay, I'm good.
Dave Blundin (1:17)
Okay.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:18)
Tell me you're not drinking lobster.
Peter Diamandis (1:19)
Everything sounds good.
Salim Ismail (1:20)
No, it's bone broth.
Peter Diamandis (1:21)
Lobster, lobster.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:23)
Bone broth?
Peter Diamandis (1:23)
Lobster bisque.
Salim Ismail (1:24)
It's vegetarian bone broth.
Peter Diamandis (1:26)
So here's my recommendation, right? We're going to go to WDF episodes twice a week, every day. And then we're going to have our bots do it every hour.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:34)
The audience demands it.
Peter Diamandis (1:36)
The singularity is happening faster than possible.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:39)
It's the Moonshots singularity.
Peter Diamandis (1:40)
I mean, honestly, this morning I look at the flow from Alex's post and I'm like, holy shit, I got to add five slides to the deck this morning. I mean, it is incredible.
Alex Wissner-Gross (1:52)
Well, it only gets faster from here.
Dave Blundin (1:55)
Don't sleep through it. That's right. It's funny though, if you just sample around people you know or sample on the street, it's still 99
something percent unaware. So that's going to change in a hurry. That's a big topic in today's release. There's something mind-blowing every single week now. But it gets to new people every time.
Salim Ismail (2:13)
It's multiple times a day actually.
Alex Wissner-Gross (2:15)
I think we'll just abstract right over it and there will be robots on the streets and Dyson swarms in the skies and people will say, ho-hum, what's next?
Salim Ismail (2:25)
Yeah, we'll normalize it very fast like we did live.
Dave Blundin (2:28)
I think the molt-bot, Claude-bot thing is a counter-example of that where people who are completely unaware get slapped in the face by something that just blows their mind. And there's so many of those now that there's a wake-up call for everybody. It's kind of interesting to try and plot the wake-up calls across the country, across the world, across different demographics. You know, it's just going to see how it's going to prickle it out.
Salim Ismail (2:51)
Hope the accountants just fell. Hope the doctors just got it.
Dave Blundin (2:56)
Yeah.
Salim Ismail (2:56)
Because the developer community just got it with Claude-bot.
Peter Diamandis (3:00)
When your Uber driver starts talking about Claude-bot, you know that it's penetrating. I mean, seriously, or your mom starts saying, have you heard about this OpenClaw thing? Should I set one up in my living room?
Alex Wissner-Gross (3:12)
Yeah, but you know the next comment, the next cliche is going to be that when your neighbor is talking about it, you know it's past peak and the crash is about to happen and what's next is going to be the next reaction.
Salim Ismail (3:21)
I went for brunch over the weekend. It was the first topic of conversation, and I realized that was why I was invited because we had to give some commentary on it.
Dave Blundin (3:30)
That's what I was saying about Davos. It's kind of eye-opening, isn't it? You're like a thing.
Peter Diamandis (3:35)
Salim, you're giving a free keynote to your family members. That's great. Speaking of which, just a shout out to my mom for her 90th birthday. I just spent the weekend with her. You know, onwards mom, you're living in a singularity.
