It's my definition of luck, is that luck just derived from your consistent application of the effort to solve some problems. So, I mean, again, it sounds obvious, but I think it wasn't Walt Disney, who was just knocking to 300 doors, bringing the business plan for the whole, for the new project called Disney World.
300 doors, right? And for us, when we give up after trying to do something one or two or three times, yeah, I think it's just really unfair to ourselves. If this is really important for you, if you prepared to, you know, do 100 efforts, try 100 times, even if like 99% of this, you know, is going to be unsuccessful, it's still worth doing this.

All right, welcome back. Or if you're new to this conversation, welcome to the Finding Mastery podcast. I'm Michael Gervais and by trade in training, I am a sport and performance psychologist. And the whole idea behind these conversations is to learn from people who are switched on who have dedicated their life efforts towards mastery. And inside of the conversation, what we want to do is better understand what they're searching for. How do they organize their inner life? What are the mental skills that they use to build and refine not only their craft, but the insights about what it means to be human, to be animated, to be able to express themselves freely across multiple conditions. Yes, sometimes that's a living room, sometimes that's in the boardroom, might be in the pitch, might be on the field, whatever it is. But this is about the inner life and applied steps that you can take to become your very best.
I want to take a minute here to announce a really exciting event that we have coming up. As you continue to navigate the challenges and opportunities of 2024, I want to pose a question. What are you doing right now to be great with stress? How are you working with stress on your pursuit towards your most important ambitions and goals? And I just want to get right to the heart of the key elements, one in particular, for what it takes to excel in today's high heat, high stakes world. Because stress is not the problem that we think it is. Stress is a synonym for change. And our ability to be agile with change, that is the real opportunity at hand. So if you're wanting to unlock extraordinary results and sustainable performance in your life, it's not about avoiding or reducing stress. And as simple as that sounds, it's very tricky to do, but it is about fundamentally changing your relationship with it.
And that's why I'm so thrilled to invite you to a special event. It's a free virtual event that we're offering, and it's called The Power of Embracing Stress. It's on Wednesday, March 6th at 2 p.m. Pacific.
